I am so tired of his act, going on 17 years at least.
I hope the sixers fail historically.
That said, I like Embiid, kind of ambivalent about Brown, but these shake and bake teams of old guys historically have lost.

If you're not the Spurs or Thunder you're playing for 3rd place next season anyway. Not that I know anything about the NBA, but that's what it looks like.
In all honesty, it's probably the best choice to possibly win a title, and at only 4mil a year, that's pretty admirable on his part cause he coulda got nore. A lot more.

The only day I care about each year in the NBA is the day James is eliminated from the playoffs. I look forward to next season watching the Sixers hand me that present.

Its great we are alive to watch one of the greatest to ever do it and still do it at a high level at this age. Felt the same with Brady. Just enjoy we get to watch what we do.
I don’t think LeBron puts the Sixers over the top, but I can see why they are giving it a go. Nuggets have to sit on their hands this offseason after playing Santa Claus to local media darling Christian Braun to the tune of $25 million per year. That contract aged horribly before it even kicked in.

Is he still performing at a high level? Yes. Will he sell tickets? Absolutely. Seems like a no brainer to sign a top 5 all time player when his contract is practically minimum wage. Thunder have peaked, San Antonio is a major problem but Wemby is still an inconsistent scorer and his amazing talent is somewhat limited by high volume 3s, Knicks didn't beat anybody before they played San Antonio, and there hasn't been a repeat champion in nearly 10 years. The Sixers aren't a favorite but I would much rather go through the east than the west...just having to play Minnesota, Jokic, Steph BEFORE you face the Thunder and or Spurs is a nightmare.

There are just some guys who rub me the wrong way. It has nothing to do with his race and more to do with his arrogance. He’s pretty tough to like even if he played for a team I liked. There’s a ton of guys who are alpha male athletes who come across as much better human beings than Le Bron. I really don’t pay much attention to gifts their PR and managers make from his tax sheltered foundations. That’s largely for show.
I agree. LeBron is simply not likable.
I used to root for Magic and Kareem over Bird and the Celts. But I had so much respect for Bird, DJ, Parish and their crew. They played a great "villain" when it comes to sports. Same with Jordan - I never rooted for the Bulls. I'm a Seattle guy so my Sonics played them in the NBA Finals. But again, so much respect for Jordan.
LeBron is just a complete jerk in my mind. It's sports, who cares. But some people get worked up when they hear from us LeBron haters. Jordan was driven to pass Magic in rings. He did. LeBron is driven to match or pass Jordan in rings. He won't. And I love it.

You know what is likable about LeBron James? His game. I have hated the guy since he took his talents to south beach. But after watching him play for the US in the last Olympics, that dude is still a freight train. The guy can still get to the rim and finish. There's never been a stronger finisher at the rim. And he can pass, see the floor, lead. That said- he tanked in the finals or conference finals around 10-15 years ago. That is inexcusable. So he's not a great competitor in my mind. And I hate his off the court stuff.
It used to be that you could defend against people driving to the basket. Jalen Brunson would not get away running into people in order to push off & get his shot off or throw his head back to draw a foul. He'd get his **** swatted in an earlier era. Today's game shooters can shuffle their feet in order to shoot it in just the right position. Outside shooting is better and the lane is wide open. The game today favors the offense and the little guy or skinny shooter. Big guys and power players are minimized today.
The notion that players need more rest in today's game is ludicrous. They take games off but it has nothing to do with the game being more difficult. It's actually the opposite.
