Anybody have the scoop on the walk on RB Brody Belt? Smallish guy who I'm assuming is a fast kid?

As far as Belt goes...great high school football player. Not sure this is his best option for college with his ceiling.

Now his teammate AJ Johnson, I'd try like hell to get him in as a walk-on and feel like I got a free scholarship if I did.

Not all that inordinate. But they rarely start a soph on the o-line. Another started at DE. And a 175 lb inside linebacker. And a corner-back.

5ft10 170lbs - that's a little generous. He's gonna need a 2-3 years in the weight room and the dining hall. Maybe he'll get a growth spurt, its not unheard of at age 18.

If he's really quick he can play at 160. I knew Leo Lewis from Mizzou and the Minnesota Vikings back in the day and he didn't weigh over 150. Little tiny dude but he was really elusive.

His dad is probably close to 6’1 to 6’ 2”. Mom isn’t all that tall, maybe 5’ 6” tops. I wouldn’t bet he’s growing any more. I don’t think he has since his sophomore year.

He has always (all the way back to elementary) been fast, shifty and has very good quickness. He’s always played baseball so he’s doesn’t have reliable track times to look at.

I talked to Gary Sharp about him last week. He is really excited about him. I didn’t think he would have fit in at all in Riley’s scheme, but I could see him working out and being a contributor in Frost’s offense.

I have not heard anything about him being an early enrollee. As far as I knew he was still going to MW and going to play baseball this spring.

The kid is a phenomenal atlhlete. He easily could have kept playing basketball past sophomore year but he chose not to.

Neither do I. I saw the pic of him standing next to Scott Frost. That said I am still excited to see what he can do, his film looked pretty good, he has great vision.

Yes there was...being more worried about prescription drugs!
It happens, sometimes you have that senior class that just can't keep it together. Heck their best player was suspended for about 6 games during his varsity career and all but thrown out of MPS's if not for some "help"
