At this point posting anti-Frost complaints in commitment threads for new recruits makes zero sense. I get that people are disgusted with the record of the past few years. I certainly am too. BUT since nothing is going to change regarding Frost between now and next season it is time to hold your fire, celebrate the new recruits, support the team and hope next season turns it around.

Certainly the new recruits themselves have nothing to do with the hiring process or retention of coaches.

If the staff showed any ability to develop a kid then this would be a great addition. Here's to hoping the next staff can develop him.

We have new coaches at all meaningful offensive positions. Give these guys a chance, SF is on a short leash, things will change or we will have a new sheriff in town.

I've been here since 03 and actually covered a couple of recruiting "hat" events on behalf of Rivals but beyond that I ain't a nobody either. My point with the comments about the "boom" for every recruit is that its ridiculously premature. Expectations are so damn high for every kid and it's impossible to live up to those expectations and a lot of those high profiled kids never amount to zip.

I didn't bash the kid per se, I'm more reserved in my enthusiasm because everyone has seen this staff NOT develop players. Now, I can go along with the comments by @rcnut223. Nebraska has a new core of coaches but they haven't proven anything yet. I'm mildly excited to see the changes turn into results on the field but Scott Frost is still the head coach.

You specifically called it a thud when a Nebraska kid committed. I understand where you are coming from with this staff not developing players. But a local kid commits in June and that is the best you come up with. This is less about the staff and more about the kid. Has douche bag written all over it. It not called reserved enthusiasm it's called being a douche for no apparent reason.

I get that, and really, I didn’t take it as you bashing the kid. You seemed to be bashing the fans excited about this. I just thought it was unnecessary. Sure, Frost has a history, and it’s not very pretty. Doesn’t mean we can’t be excited about getting a recruit.
