IB looked much better tonight shooting his jumpers and not just because they went in. The shots he hit tonight (and a couple that he missed) he got good elevation on his jump shots which the key to jump shooting is in the legs. The one shot he did miss badly tonight from just inside the top of the key he got very little lift in his Jump and you could tell it was more pushed toward the basket than shot with a good form that is generated from the lower body.

I, like many, have been very critical of his jump shooting but if he can duplicate tonights shooting performance I would not mind him taking those shots at all. Hopefully tonight was a good start for him turning this around. Teams most likely will still be laying off him so he will have the opportunity to keep knocking those shots down.

He is a good shooter like I have posted many times. Just watch any of his games from HS . He made around 35% from 3 and around 73% from the line in HS . It is all in his head and it looks like his head is better.

Yep, he looked much better last night from the floor and the line. I noticed UF started intentionally hacking him with over 3 minutes to go but he knocked them down.

Like I said I have seen with my own eyes Briscoe make 22 free throws in a game and 13 in row in a game . Also seen him go 7-9 from 3 once. He can shoot . He just needs confidence.

Let's not get carried away. I'd like to see some more consistency from Briscoe and Skal. This was one game against a team that isn't very good. We will go as far as Tyler and Jamal take us, and to some extent Willis. Everything else is gravy.

Also Isaac has been playing much better of late IMO.

I am not getting carried away with it at all, just an observation that is shooting form was much better last night than he had been. He did have a couple of misses in the Vandy game too, especially the three from the corner that looked good in form just didn't fall. Watching him closely against Florida I noticed that he was elevating more on his shots which leads to a more natural shooting form, thus even his misses are still not bad misses, ala Ulis and Murray. Confidence is key but so is form and Briscoes form is much better, as is any shooters, when he gets good elevation from his legs on the shot. I haven't noticed this before the Florida game TBO but his one bad miss in the florida game he shot with almost a little bunny hop instead of really getting his legs under him like he had on the others.

I don't know what he ate last night but his shoot was very good. Seems like a different player. Hopefully he could do this during the next games, but I won't put money on it.

Im not gonna overreact to 1 good shooting night after a full seasons worth of bricks.

I need to see him hit shots for 2-3 straight games before i start buying it.

Even if he shoots well I'll never get over how he repeatedly takes one step inside the 3 point line and shoots. Long 2's are the worst shots on the court, no matter how open he is or how hot he gets. Take a 6 inch step back and then shoot, he's so open he has the time for it.

I thought he looked much better and more comfortable/confident out there last night and it was good to see. FT's were falling too. However, I'm with the ones above who need to see this over a period of games and not just once performance before I say he has new found confidence and that he will be someone we can count on consistently.

He even does it during warmups. Seen a few clips of the guards shooting 3s pre-game and he still takes a step inside the 3 pt line.

Someone needs to tell him to cut that habit out.
