He's shown that his shot isn't a lost cause buy the dramatic improvements in percentages from last year to this. He's shown he can get to the rim even when people know that's what he's going to do. He's shown that he can get the ball out to shooters once he gets in there and draws defenses. He's shown he can finish through contract. He's shown that he's unafraid to guard the best player the other team has to offer, regardless of position, and more often than not make them a non-factor. He's shown that with the game on the line he can put a team on his back and deliver.

What more do you guys want from this kid?

"dramatic improvements " in shooting going from horrible , please dont ever shot to " hope its a layup that doesnt get blocked " might be dramatic in your book but he's still a total bricklayer for a guard . Quit dressing it up as something its not .

His FG% went from .44 to .47
His FG% from 3 went from .13 to .34
His FT% went from .46 to .68

That's pretty dramatic improvement from everywhere on the court.

Of all the players on the team he would be my last choice to take an open 17 footer with the game on the line . He % is increased due to an decent number do to the amount of layups attempted .

i'm not sure what layups have to do with 3 point percentage or free throw percentage.

how about he just put the work in to get better, and showed the NBA that their major concern regarding him can be corrected.

defending a guy that went 1-7 from the line last game on FT % , that most be a hard job , Hopefully that was an anomaly as I'm not rooting against him , he was really good in a few games this year but somehow draws hi praise even when he's off his game ( 90% of the Bama game)

I am hoping Briscoe digs in and follows a Keith Bogans route. Stay all four years and just improve each year. I really think his ceiling even if he stays is a second rounder, but if he gets to the point where he can really lead UK and be the guy as a senior he may just be a better player to make it as a second rounder (have to say, look at Frank Mason Jr at Kansas).....

We will see how his stats are after the season and then we can decide who is more right , if there is a right ... I've said all along since the fall we wont win the big prize with IB playing a huge role . And I'd give a pinky to be wrong on this one.

Will he get a chance to play in the NBA? Yes.
Will he make a roster at some point? Yes.
Will he start out in the D-League? Probably.

I see him as a guy who will play 3-5 seasons as the 10th-12th guy.

I agree. He is prone to turnovers and getting shots blocked. He also insists on working on his shooting during games.

Love the kid, I truly do; of all our current Cats, IB seems to give more heart & hustle, and leave it all on the court more so than any other.
That said....no, I do not think he has the skill set to play in the NBA. He can't shoot for one, and as other's have pointed out, he doesn't have one overwhelmingly great skill that would translate into the NBA.
I wish him the best, and I hope he proves us wrong and fulfills his dream; I just don't think it's likely to happen. I can see him making a nice chunk of change overseas though, and that's nothing to sneeze at.
