I can't wait to see this kid lead our team. He will be at his natural position finally and will surprise quite a few fans.
He reminds me so much of Lowry for Toronto. He can be that good I feel

I think he will step up for sure! Just the workouts for the NBA teams probably worked wonders for his confidence. No deferring to Tyler this year since he will be in the NBA. The young studs might be deferring to Briscoe a little.

lol' at him being at his natural position finally.

OP...u are aware we have Fox + Monk on the team right? both will handle the rock more, and deservedly so.

Briscoe will once again be the 3rd wheel. You guys better hope it was " all mental" like you all foolishly claimed all yr, or else his draft stock will remain dead in the water.

I hope Briscoe has UK playing a lot better than Lowry with Toronto tonight.[winking]

All he has to do is repeat last year and he'll be tremendously valuable. He was very underrated last year by people who think they know basketball but really just follow the ball.

But I expect him to be much better. And he'll have the ball in his hands a lot. Freshman Fox won't dominate the PG minutes the way sophomore Ulis did. Fox has the size to play off the point on occasion.

What do you mean by finally. He's played one season. It's not like he's played the 5 for 3 years and now he will shine. I'm ecstatic he's returning, more so than big nose. That said, there's a big reason he's returning...his game is lacking. Scouts saw it, Cal did too. I hope he blossoms into the player you see; it won't be due to lack of effort. His game needs to mature offensively. I admit to the view he will lead by effort and defensive effort especially. Here's to me being wrong, happy for it to be so.

You make one of the dumbest predictions on how bad a kid will be based upon his walk, and that kid ends up being the #1 pick in the draft and unanimous NBA Rookie of the Year and what...?

You dont want to hear about it?

Dont step out there with such idiotic statements.
Remind us remedials what he said and about whom.

What does "you guys" mean? Do you not want Briscoe to shoot better? Are you not a UK fan?

I can't stand people who would rather prove people wrong than actually cheer for their guys.

Sure about that. Booker backed up Aaron Harrison and Ulis backed up Andrew. I think both start and share pg duties

How does monk fit in "deservedly so". He's a sg, Briscoe is a pg so he actually doesn't fall into the "deservedly so" category

Shooting 40% from the foul line is mental. Thinking otherwise is foolish.

Lmao this is honestly one of the worst basketball takes i've ever read in my life.

No, shooting 40% from the line proves your jumper is completely broken. Being that bad should make it obvious to anyone w/ a slight bball IQ that you simply cant shoot, and theres no other reasoning like " mental, confidence, freshmen jitters"

Jesus...im somehow dying of laughter + in complete shock someone truly believes those words. This forum always finds ways to entertain me.

AND TO EVERYONE ELSE WHO RESPONDED TO ME : No, im not rooting for his failures. Im pointing out the obvious. i know the truth shouldnt be spread around here if its negative. Im sorry.

Because Monk is a explosive athlete with great feel. He should be the secondary playmaker to Fox, due to a combo of skills/tools that Briscoe simply doesnt possess.

Briscoe will be the 1st or 2nd option at point not 3rd wheel. Who starts at point for your team?

If i watched then i can give a explanation.

What i did see was a full season worth of CBB games. His form is stiff & his bricks were ugly. Im shocked he hasnt shattered a backboard yet. Maybe next yr.

40%. All mental bro.

You are much worse than I've given you credit for.

A guard who shoots in the 70s in high school comes to college and is the worst free throw shooter in the country...and you don't think it's mental?

I shot better than 40% in third grade, and I bet Briscoe did too.

Really and truly, I am shocked how horrible you are. Go read another scouting report and pass it off as your opinion.

This may sound dumb but is a serious question..can he do anything to sort of undo all the muscle he put on during last years offseason just a little bit at least? I say do that and give him his mouthpiece back and he's the best player in the country this year..

I know my incrediably bball knowledge makes you think i have to repeat scouting reports, but its simply not the case. I am flattered though.

Keep hanging on to his meaningless HS numbers. When he has another AWFUL shooting season next yr, im 100% sure you'll STIL be bringing this up to avoid calling it like it is.

This forum is stocked with blinded UK homers w/ limited knowledge guys like me seem threatening, i know. Main reason i cut down positing here. Mind blowing levels of dumb takes.

Homers gonna homer i guess.

Briscoe went 17 of 23 (74%) from the FT line in the month of March (6 of 6 in the NCAA tourney).

I think a lot of his problem shooting from the line had to be mental. If his shot was broken, and is still broken, then how did he shoot that well for nearly a month?

A big part of the FT game is mental.

No, you regurgitate whatever opinion is popular on draft express at any given moment.

Doesn't take a genius to use google.

But it would take a truly thick-headed moron to not see the mental aspect of someone shooting free throws as poorly as Briscoe did last year.

Clearly you are a special case.

Yeah man, im def. running too google solely to come over to here to post Briscoe shot is forever broken and not the case of mental issues.

Wow, you caught me brah.

The guy who believes a 40% FT shooter is all mental calls someone else the special case. You win.

His form wasn't great, but it certainly wasn't 40% either, and everybody's bricks are ugly -- or else they wouldn't be bricks.
