Ain't going to happen. We're stuck with this for the foreseeable future. Hopefully they can learn from this....

This one wasn't on the defense. I'm as skeptical as anyone of Banker but it was not the defense's fault today. Run the ball.

I would say call another charlie down in texas for dc.
the cupboard is kinda bare, armstrong should be a option qb.
I'm not giving up on riley till he gets a qb that can run his offense. the pass happy skybox crowd offense.
if that don't work, we go back to the run in a few years.

D was fine today. Offense was a disaster. It's like we just keep finding new and creative ways to lose.

Lol, well I don't think Charlie would be up for that. Look, T.O. was able to figure out an offense where he could take a bunch of really big Nebraska kids and teach them how to block really, really, well for a few stud runners. It was nothing fancy, but it WAS deceptive and that's what made it lethal. And guess what? It worked! Over and over and over again and there wasn't a damn thing most opponents could do about it. You didn't need exceptional talent at every position, because he developed 80% of it. Now, when you get systems like we've seen with the past 3 coaches, this is what you get folks. If you do what everybody else is doing and you don't have the level of talent (and most likely never will), why would anybody really be surprised at what we are seeing? It just comes with the territory! Yes, it's frustrating because we all want more wins, and we might see a few seasons where we have some success, but I wouldn't expect the success we witnessed in the past. Keep going to the games, folks, the world is not ending.

Charlie had great statistical defenses in the 1990's in part because we ran the ball, controlled the clock, and thus his D wasn't out on the field a lot.

As much as I like Tommy, he had a terrible day. This loss was on our offense. Of course one of our safeties blew coverage twice late in the game too but our offense just couldn't get it done today.
