He's already had to do it once but I think he's at the end of his career and this job needs a more younger and hungrier coach to get it done that can evolve with the ever changing times!

Another coach that requires superior talent to win.
every winning coach has superior talent, name a title team that didn't have hall of famers. and phil did it 11x and onyl 3 team had a hall of famer center, shaq. phil won with bill cartwright and bill wennington at center. that's coaching

Both Phil Jackson and Pitino play outdated basketball just like Cal. Nobody is running a triangle offense and nobody is trying to hack and grab their way to victory anymore. One tightly officiated game and Pitino teams are going home.

-5% chance it happens and you’re obviously joking, but I’d take it. He’s 68. Realistically has 6-7 years left. Let him come back and get us rolling, then replace with with a young stud.

Is Richie offf probation yet or on work release? If he’s able to leave the state for away games then that might be worth pursuing.

Not little Pitino, he's awful. I'm talking about the best coach in the country. The one thats available. He'd put this program back on track and take us out of the depths.
Why would he come back to Kentucky? He has his dream job at Iona. He is among New Yorkers, his kind of people and they cook good Italian food. Pitino is happy now and would not risk that at his age by coming back to UK.
