Not impressed with TAMCC. They barely beat a 16 seed who had nearly all their starters foul out. SEMO missed 11 out of 22 free throws I think.
They hit their FT when given the opportunity so kudos for being ready to do that on the big stage.
Officials did seem a little lop-sided with calls against SEMO but I think that was largely because SEMO bigs had trouble playing under control on the defensive end.
Both teams played with a lot of intensity (which is something we consistently lacked this year), so it was nice to see that.
Lutz is a good coach, but it’s hard to say if he would be experiencing the same or similar to what Konkol is going through right now here at TU. Of course we’ll never really know, but his teams have been fun to watch the last couple of years and I’m sure he’ll end up with a decent offer after this tournament.
I miss having a dog in the fight right now… even if it was the NIT or the 11 seed play in.
