GS brought pride to RU and NJ.

And Kills dumb play calling just got Lewis injured.

No offense but Schiano built a team finally ready to win consistently and then punked out. Greg "Perennially 4th place in a horrendous shell of a Big East" Schiano. Move on. BTW - I don't like Ash much either but this revisionist history with GS is a bunch of bull.

The football team is bad, deal with it.

After another 20 year of futility the few thousand fans left will wonder if a 70 year old Greg can bring us to a point where we can be respected.

Bring Back Schiano!!
163-7 in 12 quarters vrs OSU.
Field Goal try in last min..LMAO..
Ash will be gone at end of 2018. Hopefully Schiano or Narduzzi will be available at that time..Ash is in way..way way over his head.
Bolin had a complete pass to himself before a Rutgers WR caught a ball...laughable..
Rutgers hired on the cheap again in a real conference ,learned nothing after the Flood mess.. and look at the mess out there in year#2.
People scoff at bringing back Schiano..at least its better then the phony #trusttheprocess? of what No B10 wins in a year and half?

Reach out to Mark Mangino. He'll accept 2 million per year, bring in real assistant coaches and a Defensive and Offensive coordinators that will get it done. The guy has extensive head coaching experience, won a NC at Oklahoma, won a BCS game at Kansas and will turn this team around in less than one year.

Schiano is not the answer - not a match in terms of $$$, or $$$ for staff, or timing - High probability that Schiano gets his own big premium package gig at the end of this year - and that will probably be a 5 year or more deal - and that would pretty much place him out of sync with Rutgers - for essentially forever

A more productive exercise would be to discuss coaches with a realist possibility of being a fit - in a couple of years. No matter how bleak - Ash gets to coach through at least the end of the 4th year - unless he is found to have made some huge transgression.

Thought we needed more Lewis?
---
If Lewis is the qb, and we run him against all the tough teams on the schedule, like we did tonight, he would not last a season without getting hurt....not just a ding...hurt

you can see predict that IMO

lol yes it will
Wanna bet? He's heading to the MAC or AAC. He can recruit the northeast And Florida. What P5 school will hire him? No one In the B1G, big 12, sec, or pac12. His only option is the acc. Bc? Cuse? He'd be better off proving himself in the mac then taking a big time job in 2-3 years.

What is the obsession with Greg???

He is the only coach in most of our lifetimes to have the program in a relevant place. All but one bowl win was when he was HC. Many wins over ranked opponents and other teams with a pulse.

Heading into the AAC in 2011, a top ranked class...he would crush it in the B1G.

People forget way to quickly the corner he turned here and we are so close to slipping back permanently.

He didn't crush it in the big east. Don't think he would crush it in the big ten.

So many better coaches out there for those who want a change.

Rutgers can't keep living off its past

We've been playing football for nearly 150 years, and only one guy has ever proven to be a consistent winner here.

Bring him back.

At all costs.

Money won't be an issue when we're getting $50M/yr in the TV deal. But at this rate, we're not going to have a fanbase left.

Does Ray Rice still have eligibility left? Will SL let the whole "KO in an elevator" ( to aerosmith music) slide?

How many would come here?

Schiano is a proven recruiter.

Ash is showing he's a pretty good recruiter himself.

Means nothing of you don't get over the jump.

No clue who would come here. Still think Al Golden was the way to go. But obviously am in the minority.

He's the best coach in 150 years and some people are saying he didn't do much here. Are you nuts?

Ash recruited well last year. This incoming class is basically a Flood class. 0 5 stars, none of the top NJ players. Just a bunch of "underrated guys"

Pretty darn good for a 2-10 team. We are currently ranked 43.

Very similar to gregs rankings, though yes greg had better years than this.

We need more offensive creativity!
Oh jeez, that didn't work.

Play the freshman!
Didn't turn out how we planned.

Being back the old coach! Yeah, that's the one!

Lmao. When will people realize that our roster is nowhere close to where it needs to be? Bear Bryant couldn't win with these guys. Ash needs to continue recruiting and grinding for a few years before we'll see a huge turnaround.

Let's see how many sign in February after this debacle.
