Think this should be the one that finally does it unless the mods are testing the NBA draft waters

  1. The Cosmopolitan in Vegas in late July of 2017 is where a lot of video wiretaps were captured. This is where USC’S Tony Bland took $13,000, where Creighton’s Preston Murphy and TCU’s Corey Barker took $6,000. Dawkins says of TCU: “They’re all cheaters, his whole ******* staff."

  2. The reason Dawkins, Blazer and the agent meet with Barker at TCU is because he is connected to Jarred Vanderbilt, who would go on to play at Kentucky. There’s also talk about linking up with R.J. Hampton eventually, an elite prospect.
I love when they mention UK guys for no other reason but to get UKs name in there. No need in that comment to bring up UK or Vanderbilt

Man. If Kentucky gets in trouble for Jarred Vanderbilt of all people, this board will EXPLODE. I love all UK players, but with Vanderbilt - let's just say I will likely not follow his NBA tenure as closely as other UK players.

Just shows you that Duke clearly paid for him. If UNC and UK were lining up to offer money, then why would he say no to them and go to Duke....

Clemson's name has been brought up during this trial.

When it comes Zion I feel like there should be enough info out there to at least look into his recruitment.

Well, they had already been taped saying that they would need to get their offer together at KU since the Williamson's wanted housing and employment for the father, along with cash. So guess who ends up with him? Logical thinking has Duke outbidding KU for his services.

How many games did Vanderbilt play?

Wrong. His father said UK came in 6th....
I personally think Z took UK off of his final list, out of respect for Cal. If that’s the case, I have a lot of respect for the young man. Knowing the money/ benefits situation of the matter, he didn’t want it to look like he chose K over Cal, when clearly Cal/ Uk had no intention of playing that game.

Under oath, Marty Blazer said he understood Dawkins to be saying: "Duke, UNC and Kentucky will have people in place to pay whatever's necessary for Zion Williamson. Whatever Zion Williamson's family needed, we would be able to step in and [help with money] if it was close."
Yet UK can never land those Top guys even with recently being named the most valuable college in existence. We all know we have the money, if we have the resources why are we missing out on every Top 5 player for the past 5 years? Hmmmmmmmmmmm

Oh, I wasn't disputing...I just never heard or read that. I always thought it was Duke and then either us or Clemson...never heard anything his dad said.

And I wasn't insinuating that you were disputing it. I was simply confirming.

Coach Cal went all in on OADs. He saw the ridiculousness of forcing elite high school players to go to school for a year. He set up the players' time at Kentucky to be focused on staying eligible and preparing for the NBA. That is one major reasons we dominated recruiting in the first few years of the 2010s. Then, suddenly, Duke got almost every recruit they wanted. How is that possible?
