And he’s a figurehead for a movement in our country. Boys and girls, life as we know it is over.

When I decided to have kids, it was with great thought, prayer, and consideration. I didn’t plan for what I’m seeing now.

He’s not wrong. Some view Kap as this guy that sacrificed his success for a social statement. I don’t believe that, but some view it that way, so he is right in that respect.

Anyone who agrees with him is an idiot. Kap didn't sacrifice his success. Kap started to suck as a QB. He didn't get blackballed. He was offered contracts and turned them down. When he saw he wouldn't be able to win a starting job in the league, he decided to go full martyr. 20 NFL teams could offer him a contract tomorrow and he's not interested in any of them unless it's a starting job.

He's not a hero. He's a race-baiting, cop-hating hypocrite. Mentioning him in the same sentence as Pat Tillman, who actually walked away from his football career to fight in the war on terror, is an atrocity. If Pat Tillman was alive today, I'm pretty sure he'd want to whip Colin Kaepernick's ***.

Clarification, Pat Tillman was killed by friendly fire after beginning to make it known he hated the war and was strongly against it. Felt betrayed by his country that we were fighting it and was considering coming out with those beliefs. I always like to add this to people who use Tillman as a propaganda piece to drum up patriotism.

I respect the hell outta Tillman for what he did, but every time he is mentioned it should be mentioned what his opinion was about that’s at after he joined it and got there.

Amazing that it wasn't welfare queens, thugs and baby mamas defrauding the state. Not a regular listener but the right wing radio guys here apparently heard about an investigation into welfare fraud and every time I flipped past their shows back in the late winter they were ranting about it with the usual collection of racist code words. I supposed they moved on once it turned out to be white people.

You're mostly correct, at least according to his brother and mother. One key clarification though, there's no evidence that his change in opinions about the war was known to anyone besides family and close friends. Inferring that he was intentionally killed because of his changing opinions on the war is a big stretch. No evidence supports it that I've seen.

The military covered up the circumstances of his death for 5 weeks. Told made up stories to make him a hero.
