Interesting timing considering Frost's comment of "99% buy in". Best of luck to him. Doesn't help our LB depth

Jojo and Caleb are playing his position. He should drop down to 1AA.

When I read this post, I honestly thought it was about some backup QB that must have played here ten years ago and what he is doing now. It took me a few posts to remember he was the next big thing just like about a half dozen other guys they brought in last year to fill a roster. Most of them were total Hail Mary's. This guy looked good, but dudes that love to jump from team to team usually do it for a reason. His main highlight last year was getting a penalty on a play he wasn't even on the field for until after the real play was made and he celebrated on the field like he did something. I literally can't think of any other play he was involved in last year.

Wouldn’t surprise me to see Pernell Jefferson move on from football. David Alston May decide he’s too buried to play here and move on as well
I thought Pernell was positioned to play a bunch this year?

Bummer if true about Alston. I thought he was a good get. Surprising he'd think about leaving already as he's only a Redshirt Freshman right?

Yep, some kids have a lot of potential but can't get it together. It has been reported that he was kicked off the team for a violation of team rules, rumored to be grades. It is hard for anybody on the board to know if a kid will show up to class.
Frost was only going to recruit high character players though....

I don't think it has as much to do with buy in as it does to the fact that he's a tweener who can't get on the 2 deep. I hope he's working on his degree and can finish it somewhere because playing football isn't going to pay any bills for him. Just wish him luck and thank him for coming to NU and giving it a shot.

Hearing rumors he was kicked off the team for "team rules" violation. The transfer thing is just a save face kinda thing. Any truth to this?

Would think he could be an OLB at a mid-major or even 1-AA. Get Pelini on speed dial!

IF I'm a kid who has a year of eligibility left and can play a little football, I'm going to a school that size BUT it isn't going to be in freaking Youngstown. Plop me down in Colorado, Montana, or some other state that would be fun to spend that last year at. Dixon will probably go back south. Best of luck to them. I hope they find a place to play and have some fun to end their college career. Failing at NU is not the end of the world. Just get the degree and have a good life.

Heard Corvallis is nice
It would depend completely on whether or not I had to sit if I transferred to another D 1 school but Corvallis would not be a bad spot. Much easier to get on the field there I would guess than at NU. Recreational pot is legal there so there is that too.....

He was at Ole Missi first, so it makes you wonder about that part..

With Cam’ron Jones in the dog house and a healthy group of young talent at safety, I’m concerned he could quit.
Hoping he comes out and proves himself.
Also hoping CJ Smith bounces back from injury soon.

I remember a lot of talk how Jones was going to come in and start right away and be All-B1G, etc.. Hope it works out for him.
