Hearing a few other LBs may be gone as well
He was all the rage on this board last year. Suppose to start @ LB for 3 years.
I thought Pernell was positioned to play a bunch this year?Wouldn’t surprise me to see Pernell Jefferson move on from football. David Alston May decide he’s too buried to play here and move on as well
Frost was only going to recruit high character players though....Yep, some kids have a lot of potential but can't get it together. It has been reported that he was kicked off the team for a violation of team rules, rumored to be grades. It is hard for anybody on the board to know if a kid will show up to class.

Looking through the roster I may have been thinking about Tyrin Ferguson... Both New Orleans boys.I thought Pernell was positioned to play a bunch this year?
I don't think it has as much to do with buy in as it does to the fact that he's a tweener who can't get on the 2 deep. I hope he's working on his degree and can finish it somewhere because playing football isn't going to pay any bills for him. Just wish him luck and thank him for coming to NU and giving it a shot.Interesting timing considering Frost's comment of "99% buy in". Best of luck to him. Doesn't help our LB depth
Would think he could be an OLB at a mid-major or even 1-AA. IF I'm a kid who has a year of eligibility left and can play a little football, I'm going to a school that size BUT it isn't going to be in freaking Youngstown. Plop me down in Colorado, Montana, or some other state that would be fun to spend that last year at. Dixon will probably go back south. Best of luck to them. I hope they find a place to play and have some fun to end their college career. Failing at NU is not the end of the world. Just get the degree and have a good life.Would think he could be an OLB at a mid-major or even 1-AA. Get Pelini on speed dial!

It would depend completely on whether or not I had to sit if I transferred to another D 1 school but Corvallis would not be a bad spot. Much easier to get on the field there I would guess than at NU. Recreational pot is legal there so there is that too.....Heard Corvallis is nice

I remember a lot of talk how Jones was going to come in and start right away and be All-B1G, etc.. Hope it works out for him. With Cam’ron Jones in the dog house and a healthy group of young talent at safety, I’m concerned he could quit.
Hoping he comes out and proves himself.
Also hoping CJ Smith bounces back from injury soon.
