I don't have a problem with it. He's probably right. This is a rebuild and Frost has never done that before. The situation he walked into at UCF is different from Nebraska. He's definitely learning on the job. I hope he's taking the right courses.
Like fewer NFL caliber players? Less speed? They had a linebacker without a hand who was better than anyone we've had since.

“Culture” = martinez
“Problems” = he sucks, is the antithesis of a leader and the team recognizes his incapacity for even average play

It’s long been rumored he just sits around smoking weed and playing video games all day. I’d be pissed, too, if I was trying to actually win.
rambo, why all the hate against adrian ?

@Baxter48 I know you were around these parts when we were hiring Scott Frost. Surely you remember all of the talk about Frost turning around that UCF program 0-12 to 6-7 to 13-0. There were multiple threads discussing that 0-12 and how it was completely devoid of talent.

There is absolutely no question about that and in addition Frost won the lottery by recruiting Milton.

I don't recall anybody saying that UCF was "completely devoid of talent" when Frost took over. They had a losing culture and he recruited a standout college QB who made his offense work. Frost in fact turned that program around. Anybody arguing differently is out of touch with reality.

Watch it or you’re going to bring back Mr Peabody and his side kick Sherman with this kind of talk.😂

There’s a culture problem on Offense at Nebraska? Well...DUH!

It starts at the top when the HC stubbornly insists always doing a swing pass on first down when it clearly doesn’t work. A HC that stubbornly insists on getting too cute with the play-calling when a simpler approach is needed.

A losing culture? They won the fiesta bowl 2
Years before frost arrived.
They had a terrible year in 2015 before frost took over but wasn’t George o Leary having to be AD as well as being football coach?

What you all fail to realize is that this is all by design - Frost hates Nebraska - no one knows exactly why, but was out to destroy Husker football. What we do know..

He spurns T.O. and goes to Stanford - this is not enough, so he comes back and messes with LP. That also fails, so he starts the following season by laying a goose egg at Arizona St.

Although sub-par' the 1996 season was not enough to sink this ship. Being foiled again, he hatches a new scheme - to win it all and gain the love of Husker nation - only to exploit it later any way possible.

He pays his dues in the NFL and college ranks as an assistant - gets that first HC job and springboards to Nebraska on the love and acceptance of all Cornhusker faithful.

Now is the time to spring the trap!

Well played you heinous villain! Well played indeed!

Gameplan, execution, penalties, ****** center play, turnovers, horrifying special teams, A Mart not being enough of a difference maker, bad breaks, etc...

it’s actually pretty incredible how many things that have gone wrong, especially in the W-L column, yet this staff still recruited a top 20 class. That’s one shining light here. If we can string together some wins, this staff might be able to do some real damage in recruiting.

‘culture’ is an all encompassing excuse for the lack of success over the last 3 years. Considering the continuity and returning players, I would honestly be shocked if this team doesn’t take a step forward next year. It just doesn’t make sense for things to continue going in this direction. Really, it’s confounding.

I’m only mildly concerned about culture issues and Frost’s verbal/personnel blunders in his first few years.

Have there been some mistakes made? surely
Does there appear to be plenty of buy-in from the players that remain? I’d say yes.

It’s easy to pick on Frost or any coach for every small action, fair or not. He has a big job and once a kid is in the program he needs to do right by them and the team, not always an easy balance.

What is most concerning is actual coaching and development. That’s where my focus is. Getting results on the field is where I’ve been at a loss.

How we can’t have any semblance of a passing game or establish an RB running game or have decent special teams play in his 3rd year, showing actual regression in some instances is an abject failure for his salary.
There’s no more excuse for that level of poor play heading into year 4.

Get your team ready to play and go win games.
