Breaking Bad is Beast, but I struggled through season 1. Keep grinding through it b/c it gets better every season.
A fantasic series. I loved the way the writers laid out the episodes and seasons. Gave you lots of hints and foreshadowing.
Im still in The Wire camp for best series ever.... but Breaking Bad is likely my number two.

Yes. Is probably the best acting I've seen on TV. I love GoT, and it is probably my favorite series ever due to my love of the books, but BrBa is the better show, if that makes sense.
I've always had the Wire 1st, but I didn't like the final season with hole McNulty red yarn serial killer BS. GOT is just sooo damn good.
I love sunny, but it's not a top 10 show.

Heck yes. Season one gets the series set up, so stick with it. By the end of season 2 you will be looking for free time to watch the next one.
They are not dragging it out like The Walking Dead seems to be. They ended the show when it was still red hot.

FYI...if you like a great story and deep, building, character development, I can't recommend Rectify enough. It was only four seasons, and just wrapped up. It may be the best-written show I've ever watched. It has some moments that are so dramatic and engaging that you'll forget that you're just watching TV.

You should try it again. Season 3 it picks up speed and never looks back all the way to the finale. In fact it's probably the finale I have ever seen in tv.
Can't make myself start season 2. The first season just wasn't very good.
I finished season two of The Man in the High Castle today. I normally don't like shows with alternate reality happening but this show is an exception. The characters are very well developed and the plot is super interesting. Waiting a year for season 3 is not cool.

If you can make it through Breaking Bad up to the point where Gus Fring shows up, you are golden.
I have enjoyed Man in the High Castle too. Black Mirror would be down my list but it's has some entertaining episodes.

You are cheating yourself out of a damn good series then. The show digs in and gains momentum in the middle to end of season 2 and never lets up.
I echo what others have said, season one does drag a little. Once it hits it's stride in season two though, it is just unreal how good it gets.
The final episode is everything you could want, but the three episodes leading up to that are the three best TV shows I've ever watched.

This show is ridiculously good, and I'm not through the second season yet. Any show that includes a drug lord's severed head on an exploding tortoise is ok with me. I understand why I like Better Call Saul so much now.

I really tried to like Mad Men, watched several seasons. If not for January Jones wouldn't have made it as far as I did. Edited to say I'm an old fart too in my 50's still didn't like it

Breaking Bad led me to leave functions I normally spearheaded. Why in the world would I be interacting at a social event when I could be watching Breaking Bad?? Man I wish I could get back to square one with that show.

Loved the office politics/relationships of Mad Men and watching some of the characters evolve, but couldn't stand watching the scenes with the Draper children and Betty once things fell apart. Maybe I'm in the minority on this, but I have a feeling I'm not.
Love Mad Men, best character development of any show I've seen. Although I was a little disappointed in the season finale, I mean wtf was that?
Also, I just started watching Westworld and i'm hooked.
You are absolutely right about this. I watched a few episodes during the recent marathon on AMC and I had even forgotten how Saul and Walter were introduced to each other.
That's one thing I always avoid doing when I watch a well-crafted show; guessing where it's going. I am anxious to see what the deal is with the pool, the evidence bags, and that weird stuffed animal. One show left in season two.
I can't remember if I wanted Jesse to die at this point or not. But, just like Jaime Lannister, I hate his guts in the beginning, only to have him be my favorite character.
