It’s like 4 months away he got timeIs Kam really not gonna be 100 percent go for the start of the season?
It’s still one and maybe done. Kids transferring after you spent time and resources to develop them only to have them leave after a year is no different, so give me the best talented freshman you can get and surround them with experience. Talent wins outTypical uk fans who want it both ways. Wanted to be done with one and dones. Wanted players to stick around and develop and play 3-4 years. Now that it’s happening people complaining about the talent not being there. Just relax and wait to see what guys do before freaking out.
He's nowhere close to 200 lbs. Last I'd heard he was around 180-185. He's put on 15-20, not 35. That's evident from looking at him.Sorry, but I'm sure you had no idea when he was recruited that he actually weighed around 165. The staff new he was extremely talented but would redshirt to gain weight. Now he's grown a inch or so and is close to 200 lbs.. He'll need time to get use to his new body but you just don't discourage a talent like him. He hasn't played a college basketball game, lets give him time to adjust, by mid season he'll be a whole different player.
No, they've talked about it on the show multiple times in the last couple weeks.Heard from where? I see, KSR chat?
He’s not going to need luck to play. He’s potential pro. Those no world that dude could play the 2 against good teams. None. He'll be lucky to be able to handle and guard well enough to play the 3, much less the 2.
Correct. Luck not needed. What is needed is growth in skill, weight and strength. Time will tell if that happens. He’s not going to need luck to play. He’s potential pro.
And foot speed based on the videos Resistance put out. Also, think I’ll retract my statement on his growth in height.Correct. Luck not needed. What is needed is growth in skill, weight and strength. Time will tell if that happens.
I tend to agree with this. Jelly and BG were fine in the backup roles they were supposed to fill. Both, at times, got thrust into roles above what they were probably capable of. It happens over the course of 40 games. I expected Jelly to show a little more improvement, and I think he did at times. He just really struggled shooting the ball. Had he made some consistent 3s, he’d have been far more of an impact.Garrison is now at Bama. Jelli at OSU. I understanding Garrison’s departure. He was inconsistent and was not going to start. I think Jelli could have stayed for less money. Understand why he took the cash. I think his second year in college will be better than his first. He had potential. I think we uprgraded with our portal guys, however.
Agreed. He does seem a little slow twitch, but not surprising given his weight and strength limitations. I think he’ll eventually be a contributor, just not sure he’s ready to make a big leap yet.And foot speed based on the videos Resistance put out. Idk if anyone is making a judgement. Fluid evaluations are a real thing though. He’s got room for growth in a lot of areas. That can happen quickly with and 18/19 yr old that’s still getting his skis underneath himself.I think making judgements in July is not going to be veryvaccurate. We will know when we actually start playing games and get into the meat of our schedule. 2 years ago there were a lot of comments on here saying that Chandler couldn't handle the SEC and was a D2 player. Those evaluations were off just a tad.
On the Chandler front, I don’t remember anyone seriously talking D2. I do remember there being discussions about his lack of ability to contribute year 1 given his time off. Most thought he’d improve and show solid strides in year 2, and he did. He was, overall, better than I thought he’d be in year 2. Once the book was out on him though, he struggled. He will have to figure out his offense as defenders won’t give him space until he shows the ability to get by his man off the dribble.I think making judgements in July is not going to be veryvaccurate. He looks about as tall as Milan in a recent photo. If Moreno is 7 foot in shoes, Hawthorne looks about 6’8” in shoes. And foot speed based on the videos Resistance put out. Also, think I’ll retract my statement on his growth in height.
The comments on Chandler were absolutely brutal and no shortage of comments that he wasn't capable of performing in top D1 conferences. No doubt he took a while to adjust in coming back from his mission trip but he was a top 35 rated player. On the Chandler front, I don’t remember anyone seriously talking D2.
