I watched about 5 minutes of the Alabama/Auburn exhibition game and it was enough to know Alabama fans are going to endure some aggravation this year. Oates isn't going to work a miracle with BG; he's still the same player. In the five minutes I watched I saw BG take two shots, a wide open three that he left very short(a near airball) and a 10 footer that was closer to an airball than a made shot. He also got stripped of the ball from behind because he just wasn't paying attention. He hasn't changed at all.

Garrison has talent, a bit of a head case I heard. He seems to be one of those kids that can't self motivate. His basketball IQ was very low. I wish him well.

BG didn't live up to his potential and seemed like kind of a dickhead, but at least he was our dickhead. Of all the people to be pissed off at, he's not in the top 50% off all players in the last 10 years. Plus he did win us some games.

When he really wanted to play and you could see it he played really well. Every time he played Oklahoma. A game or two after Coach Pope pulled him and was overheard saying I am sick of watching you play basketball. If he could focus and bring that intensity game in and game out he could be all SEC. By the way mark him down for 15 and 10 versus UK this year.

1. He was put on a roster to play behind Amari Williams year 1 and take the starting C spot year 2.....he played so poorly, UK went and got MOreno and especially Quantenance
2. Even while waiting for Quantenance...he was given starting C spot and played so badly....Moreno took it and never looked back
3. Garrison is at best a mediocre backup C....and I'll gladly take So Moreno and Kepnang over his minutes any day of week

Whatever he does or does not do at Bama...doesn't change a thing. Even if Pope is a poor coach....he had all kind of opportunity and he simply wasn't good enough multiple times in 2 years.

Anyone that thought Brandon Garrison would transform into some kind of productive player were pretty uniformed.
The kid is lazy ,has an extremely low basketball IQ ,and his maturity level is about on par with an average 13 year old.
