Darn it! Wish he and a few others were healthy.
[Nebraska head coach Mike Riley provided the rundown on who might play against Northwestern, and also who is definitely out.
Junior outside linebacker Luke Gifford continues to recover from a hip injury and won't play for the second straight week. This puts a lot on Marcus Newby, and also maybe opens up more snaps to redshirt freshman Colin Miller, who at 6-3, 235 pounds, is a similar build to Gifford and was used effectively in third-down situations in the 25-24 win at Purdue.
"I've got real high expectations for him, and I'm glad that he's playing more," Riley said of Miller. "He's done a nice job on special teams and he's played more on defense."
It doesn't look so good this week for true freshman Jaylin Bradley, who is coming off his biggest workload as a Husker, and provided a spark against Purdue by carrying it seven times for 42 yards. Unfortunately, he also injured his ankle in that game.
Riley didn't say he was out, but did say: "That hasn't responded well. Hasn't done anything yet. That's too bad."]
