Turned down 7 years 70 million from Indiana... Wow. What an offer from the school. Kudos to themhttps://sports.yahoo.com/report-bra...m-indiana-to-stay-with-celtics-222404520.html

He is the Celtics coach...a legendary and historic franchise. Why would he leave a historic gig for a rebuild? If he gets fired in Boston, he will have his pick of jobs!
Indiana is going to get a lot better quickly. With the addition of a true point guard from Pitt and today they got a committment from the 57th ranked player Tamar Bates who is a shooting guard. They won't be down long.
Other than Michigan this conference is not that strong at the momentNot just a rebuild, but a rebuild in arguably the strongest conference and dealing with one of the most unrealistic fanbases in college basketball.
I doubt it. He has said he really does not enjoy recruiting. He loves the NBA and even if the Celtics fire him after this season he will be like all NBA coaches, he will be recycled to another NBA team.IMO he replaces K at Duke when he steps down.

And yet, after Stevens turned them down they went with Woodson at a much lower salary more in line with Pikiell's.Turned down 7 years 70 million from Indiana... Wow. What an offer from the school. Kudos to themhttps://sports.yahoo.com/report-bra...m-indiana-to-stay-with-celtics-222404520.html
Tom Thibodeau says hello. In the pros, the players are the coaches. The coach is more of a manager, keeping all those egos in check to work as a team, at least during playoff time.
Hey at least they are shooting for the starsIt's not necessarily about being down, per se. Indiana fans seem to think their birthright is to be at the top of the Big Ten and a perennial Final Four contender.
