Well the coaches from that school are reaching out to the athletes and parents and trying to persuade them to leave their current program for Batavia. They are promising better opportunities and in some cases a financial incentive.

Now I’m curious (and obviously stupid) to get further lured into this conversation.

What opportunities do Batavia kids have that Geneva and StC kids don’t?

Seriously. I am genuinely curious.

And, how much do you think monetarily it would take to “lure” a kid from Geneva/StC to play for mighty, mighty Batavia?

Granted I haven’t spent a ton of time there, but I don’t see many in Geneva or St. Charles in need of financial incentives.
