I was looking at the C1 bracket. Tough one to call. Lots of really good teams. 8 seed beat Wahoo to get in. They could give Auburn a run. No idea of how good Milford is but I suspect that game could be really good. I saw Wayne play and they are good but I suspect KC will handle them. KC might be the favorite. Adams Central and St paul could be a tossup game also.

Impressive: Collectively 183-19 (90.6%), no team with greater than 5 losses nor fewer than 21 wins.

Auburn beat Pierce by 12 back at the Wayne holiday tourney, expect a similar result to that first round game. I expect Concordia to beat Milford in the first round so that would give a Semi matchup with Auburn and Concordia where Auburn won that previous matchup in early January by 11. KC will roll in the first game. The most intriguing game is the St Paul and Adams Central game. Both teams are very athletic and long and both will play an aggressive trapping 1-3-1 so the team that shoots it better from the outside wins that one. A KC and Adams Central rematch in the Semis would be a great matchup that I could see as a toss up. I do not see Auburn losing to a team that plays predominately zone and if they were to see KC in the finals that is the worst possible matchup for Auburn. KC has big guards that would be a real challenge for the guards of Auburn to matchup with physically. I'll take Auburn to get the 3x peat.

I don't know who gets them, but I have a hunch Auburn is ripe for an upset this year.
I could definitely see it happening, Auburns biggest issue is their depth this year. They have played numerous games where they at most play 6 guys.

I think that first matchup with Pierce saw a couple of their key players with early foul trouble..........Pierce could give them a game in that opening round.

That’s what happens a lot with Auburn. Other teams get in foul trouble.

I watched the Pierce/Auburn game & some of the foul calls that got Brahmer into foul trouble were hot, flaming, garbage. He still scored 19 in that game in about 20 minutes on the floor.

I'd hesitate to pick Pierce in the upset, but I absolutely can see Pierce winning this game. BRLD shot like garbage against Auburn in February and still gave them a close game by shutting down Binder. If Pierce can keep Binder in check and get some shots to fall I think it will be close. It's one of the most interesting first round matchups imho.

Agreed. Pierce is solid, will be a 45-40 kind of game.

Remember Weeks is the coach that will make adjustments. Last year the beat Ogallala by about 10 at the HHC and then in the finals drilled them. If it was ten or so last time I could see it being at least that as well.

No doubt that could happen. Especially first round where he's had time to prepare.

Agreed. They don’t have great depth and have relied a lot on getting a 4-8 point lead and then bleeding clock.

If a team can create some turnovers and run and gun, it is a recipe for disaster for them IMO.

Can’t underestimate Weeks though.

Well I give props to Wayne High. Didn’t think it would be close. Congrats Blue Devils!
