Years ago there were just a handful of bowls and it was a special team that got to participate.

Now 6-6 gets you an invite, even 5-7. The product is so dilute, few care unless your team is in a top one now.

Players today and young people do not look at the Bowl Games in the same way as a lot of us adults do. Back in the day bowl games were huge but people today look at them like they are just nonsense and unnecessary. So many kids are already willing to abandon their teams when it's bowl time so this doesn't surprise me considering the pandemic.

That seems to be where it's going. Probably not too long until bowl games are a thing of the past.
