Yeah I don't blame him for just not wanting to be in college any more. He just turned 24 btw.

I just think there's no way he gets drafted given that Ozigbo didn't after a breakout year. Mills was forgotten by his own playcaller, he'll have an uphill battle to stick on a roster as a UDFA.
Mills should not come back unless he hasn't finished his degree or he has nothing else to do next year except collect unemployment

I just don't think taking another year of abuse to his body is going to help his NFL aspirations. I'm assuming he'll graduate this year and has no interest in a post-graduate degree. IF that is the case, there's not time like now to test the waters. He's done enough at NU to get to a camp and from there it's all up to him. Good luck to him.

Mills is getting too old to wait. I think he's 26. JoJo IMO is a better prospect than Nate Gerry. I didn't think Gerry would stick so what do I know.
Gerry may have run his course in Philly. After a decent 2019, he was atrocious in 2020 and then got injured.

I don't know if there's much in it for him to gain by staying unless he wants a post graduate degree. He's put as much on video as he probably can and likely would get signed as an UDFA at least. I would love to have him back but I won't hold my breath.

What you say is true enough sir. I'll just hope for the best. :)

He's got a couple of things going for him. He's young and his ability to play special teams. Teams tend to carry quite a few linebacker/hybrid types. He's fairly fast, has experience now and can cover pretty well so if he comes back healthy he'll probably have a spot somewhere.

I've been as big a supporter of Gerry as you'll find. But his coverage skills have completely disappeared this year. Teams have schemed towards him as a liability in coverage. Hope he can fix it, because I like his tenacity.
