I really don't understand wrestling recruiting well enough. I think it would make more sense if they scholarship offers were made public to see how the staff projects them.
Just a little curious on the recruiting game plan. I know we have a ton of kids to replace in 2018, but bringing in both Robinson and this kid the same year? One red shirts, the other wrestles? Do they project to different weights?
What do people think about this new kid talent-wise?
pretty sure he is a junior right nowDid Bennerr win his title as a junior and now going into his sr year?
What weight would Glasgow wrestle at? 157 or 165?Projected to be a 149 pounder. Robinson would be 141.
Who are the current commits? Thanks.Anyone have information on him?
Current commits:
2017
125 - Shane Metzler (7th at NJ States)
133 - Robert Cleary (3rd at NJ States)
149 - Stephen Glasgow (2x NJ Champ)
2018
141 - Malcolm Robinson (Nat'l Prep Champ)
141 - Jake Bennett (NJ Champ)
170 - Bill Janzer (NJ Champ)
We lose the follow wrestlers this year:Thing to realize is how much money will be coming off the books after next year's senior heavy team graduates. Recruiting is on the uptick. Still a ways to go, but things are still going in the right direction despite the tough competition.
So you're saying that from the 13-14 season when he didn't wrestle at all?Don't be so sure that Gravina is coming off. Staff believes he will get a 6th year. Originally I didn't think he would get it but now I think he will get it.
