Boo is now a stud! No need for any more comments!BOO got a g-d offensive rebound off Berry’s miss and then found Chase in the corner. Boo does everything. Boo for Mayor.
Also, MN is able to set screens and roll as a lob threat. This action opens the middle up. Last year's team had more post players,. The post players man were able to help out more when Boo was driving towards the basket making the layups more difficult.
All that or Occam's razor, which is you were just plain wrong.Listen I just call it straight, that’s it, good and bad. Honesty in the best policy.
In the past Boo had a history of taking bad shots and turning the ball over, especially in crunch time. He also went to the “floater” too much and didn’t distribute the ball as a top flight point guard should. He was known for chucking up 3’s and not setting up the offense and he’d play out of control at times. That’s all true.
This year, especially in last 10 games, Buie is a different player. It’s like the light went on. He is the leader and heart and soul of the team. His shot selection is much much better and he’s taking the ball to the rim instead of using the off balance floater. He’s playing under control and distributing the ball. The kid has come into his own and I’m thrilled for him and the team.
I said several games ago that if Buie kept playing like this, the cats would have a big big season and they certainly are.
Wow, 30 likes, and that is just now at the time of this posting. Gotta be some new kind of record.Chase gets a lot of love, and rightfully so. But how about we take a moment to praise the most unexpectedly steadying influence in the B1G, BOO BUIE.
All he does is lead his team, make infinitely better decisions with the ball and provide a consistent source of scoring (not to mention, he’s active on both sides of the court).
Take a bow, young man. Your development into a more complete player is fueling this team.
More shots falling as a result of better because shot selection! He wasn’t bad early in the season. The creation for the offense and his effort on defense was still there. He still was the engine that made this offense go. His shot just wasn’t falling but he found ways to get to the line to contribute to the scoring column despite his shooting efforts.
The only difference is his shot is falling. I swear that’s the only thing in this boards mind in which dictates if a player is playing well is if their shot is falling.
And no again. The degree of difficulty of a lot of the shots he is making is really high. He missed a lot of easy shots around the basket last year and earlier this year. The same or easier than the ones he has been making in conference games. And he’s taking the same number of 3’s and making significantly less.More shots falling as a result of better because shot selection!

I don’t know. Something clicked. He is too good an athlete and player to miss as many of those shots as he did. It had to be a little mental. Once he got over that hurdle, he is making the easier ones and the ridiculously difficult ones. Hopefully, he keeps surprising me. And he starts hitting a few more 3’s. He’s getting good looks from 3. The tournament would be a great time for him to find his outside shooting stroke. Berry too.But the question is why. What happened? Why is Buie so much better (since about Jan 10th) at getting into the paint and scoring?
