Or score one with a fly ball or a grounder right side. It forces defense to decide to play in or concede the run on said ground ball. But that doesn’t fit neat into an algorithm like swinging out your *** for the fence all day And striking out 250 times.I like it. Late stages of the game. Now looking at second and third with one out. Two AB’s to score two with a single.
Augie Garrido had tons of success with this strategy in college baseball for years, but to some you and your comments, he’s a loser because losers bunt.
6th inning sac bunts with one of the most prolific power hitters in the conference are as dead as Augie.I like it. Late stages of the game. Now looking at second and third with one out. Two AB’s to score two with a single.

Man what a disappointment yesterday and today. Leads only to get beat in the 9thLooks we’re going to have to swap the freshman Timmerman for the old late inning guys that can’t get the job done.
Listened to the whole game today while driving, you could feel that L coming a mile away.Man what a disappointment yesterday and today. Leads only to get beat in the 9th
100%Even so, I still think this weekend could be beneficial for the team's growth.
Last year, we had Max and Brice and went 1-4 against UNO, N Dakota St and S Dakota St.100%
playing these teams is great for the massive step down in competition come conference time
I don't believe they do for college games but they are slowly changing some things....they do for bb games.Do they sell beer at Nebraska baseball games? Thinking of coming over for the Friday night Iowa game.
Beers are 10.50 for 20oz glass at the basketball games weren’t they Husker66..I don't believe they do for college games but they are slowly changing some things....they do for bb games.
I didn't have any but the people behind me said 11Beers are 10.50 for 20oz glass at the basketball games weren’t they Husker66..
Whether to bunt or not to bunt depends on several factors. But to say that bunting has gone the way of the dinosaurs is way off when it comes to college baseball. A lot of parks, including the home of the CWS, are very pitcher friendly. You can’t just gorilla ball your way to a championship like you used to be able to.
Here's some great news (eff me), the only guy that absolutely raked last weekend is out for a few weeks. Hopefully he didn't break it trying to bunt!
Thanks for the update.NU wins game 1 by the score of 7-2
and awesome to see a legacy coming into his own on the bumpProud of our guys. Great 2 game stretch.
This is great to hear. Seems like offensive production from 1B has been lacking for quite a while.Liking Stone at the plate. That dude's a thumper. Another JUCO dog.
