I like it. Late stages of the game. Now looking at second and third with one out. Two AB’s to score two with a single.

Augie Garrido had tons of success with this strategy in college baseball for years, but to some you and your comments, he’s a loser because losers bunt.
Or score one with a fly ball or a grounder right side. It forces defense to decide to play in or concede the run on said ground ball. But that doesn’t fit neat into an algorithm like swinging out your *** for the fence all day And striking out 250 times.

Husker offense comes to life and they take a 5-1 lead, middle of the 5th. If this holds up, very nice weekend for NU.

Just like last year we bring in pitchers that can't record an out. Worthley yesterday. Perry comes in they get 2 runs without recording out. Pitchers have got to be ready.
6-5 Nebraska bottom of the 7th. Perry was just yanked.

6th inning sac bunts with one of the most prolific power hitters in the conference are as dead as Augie.

A double in the gap scores two, a dinger plates 3. And neither willingly gives up the most precious commodity in the game.

Lots of you will use your feelings and nostalgia to direct your wrong opinions on this matter, no doubt.

Looks we’re going to have to swap the freshman Timmerman for the old late inning guys that can’t get the job done.

Whether to bunt or not to bunt depends on several factors. But to say that bunting has gone the way of the dinosaurs is way off when it comes to college baseball. A lot of parks, including the home of the CWS, are very pitcher friendly. You can’t just gorilla ball your way to a championship like you used to be able to.

With our bullpen, you should probably try to.

Here's some great news (eff me), the only guy that absolutely raked last weekend is out for a few weeks. Hopefully he didn't break it trying to bunt!

I watched the Grand Canyon vs tOSU game last night on ESPN+. GCU won 10-3 and they are 4-0 on the season. It was a night game and it was really dark in their stadium. Anyone else notice that? Like they don't have enough light poles. Should be banned from having night games until they fix it. We have to play 3 straight night games there, starting tomorrow night. All on ESPN+. It's going to be brutal. The cameras they used were **** as well.
Good luck team. You'll need it. GBR.

Bottom of the 3rd Huskers lead Grand Canyon 4-0, a 2 run Homer from Caron in the first, and a 2 run double from Stone in the third.
