You’ll see. He’ll average either 9 or 10. WATCH! He’ll be in better shape next year too
Remember all the Bolden post this year and last year about Bolden until just recently. My oh my. Just don't screw up big guy. The tide can change in an instant. OFC
I'd be willing to make a friendly wager he doesn't average nine, either. Rebounding isn't one of his strengths. And that's ok. I also believe he'll be really, really valuable next season (if we returns) and will certainly have some double-doubles. I just don't think he averages one.
Duke has had one player average nine rebounds per game since Shelden Williams graduated in 2006. One. That was Mason Plumlee....who did it twice in 2012 and 2013. We've had two do it in the last 16 years before this season....where we, ironically, have two.
Nine rebounds is a lot to average per game over the course of a full season.
We have two doing it right now on the same team. Amile average 10.3 in 15-16 albeit in 9 games. I know that's a stretch but it was worth the try. Bolden can do it though. I'll say he will average 12 points, 9 rebounds, and 2+ blocks per game
I acknowledged that about this season....but, you don't see near the same kind of rebounding prowess in Bolden that you do in either Carter or Bagley, do you? Those two guys are elite-level rebounders.
And yes, I didn't count Amile. Doing it in nine games doesn't constitute a full season. That should go without saying.
