Bolden quietly looking more sure of himself out there this weekend. Changing shots, a couple aggressive post moves AND on the bench he has looked engaged, into the game and rooting his teammates on. As Duke gets a bit of a break from the PK80 level competiiion in their schedule now, I expect Bolden to become even more confident, hopefully leading to him being a big piece off the bench for us.

Bagley/Carter will get in foul trouble this year (like Carter did against Florida) Bolden gaining confidence now will be key in him being able to step up come March and help hold down the fort. He is more than capable physically, mentally I'm seeing glimpses of him getting there.

Just one more positive from the weekend!

Great point. Bolden had a very nice weekend for himself. The minutes he played he made the most of and like you said his body language is really good. Hope he can keep building off of this bc the kid has a really good future.

i think bolden has been playing pretty damn good. don't need him to score a bunch. come in rebound, alter and block shots. giving us solid minutes.

If he can get in great shape, and his confidence continues to grow,he's gonna be a force come tournament time....the more playing time he can get can only contribute to those two things

I agree, I think he is getting comfortable and knowing his role.

Agreed, he generally looked pretty solid out there, which is what we need from him.

Just by his body language alone, it seems as though Marques is buying into his role. I'll be honest, that might have been his biggest (mental) hurdle.

No doubt. However he appears to be embracing it. He seems to be coming off of the bench bringing energy and making better post moves.

He has a tough role now playing behind Bagley III.

I hope he continues to develop because we will need him.

So since bolden seems to get criticized a lot, can we give him big props tonight! No he didn’t score 15 points and grab 10 boards but the dude came in and worked his tail off on defense and did great on hedgeing on screens... the energy level this year to last is so much more! Keep it up big fella!

He’s played pretty well this year...he kept us in that first half last weekend in the first game..and watch him on the bench..he’s much more engaged overall than he looked a year ago...
