So, Bolden was willing to play behind both Carter and Bamba??
Or U saying he would play ahead of one or both?
I'm gonna say we hear from bamba pretty soon now if this is true ..no way he comes here now imo ..doesn't bother me either ..I mean that in good way..I don't want too much talent again ..bolden Carter vfrank JD is plenty deep imo ..we saw how frank can come in and at least comtribute ..not to forget white..I think we're going to see come huge sophomore improvements from a lot of players ..I think Knox goes elsewhere too especially if Allen or Kennard come back ..which is fine by me also!! All I want is Duval!! Let's go!!!!
I read somewhere not too long ago that he said he's going to announce somewhere around the 14th before or after whatever game is around that date but I've forgotten again which game it is.
I just hope Bolden is bought in and willing to work. If not I wish he would leave. Yes, he can help us.
How about you chill out a little bit? You and some of the guys who bought your crap got called. It's a two way street. You don't have the monopoly on calling people out.
Him coming back is huge for our roster construction next season. It's hard to duplicate his raw length and athleticism. Hope he works hard this summer and shows next season why he was considered a potential lottery pick before the season started!
The easy part was deciding to come back. The harder part, the part that will make or break this decision is yet to come. That will come when he dedicates himself to Duke and to getting better. I have no idea whether he gave 100% or not last year, but he needs to give 110% this offseason. The opportunity is there he needs to grab it by the balls and run with it.

Ok, now get to work on that footwork and conditioning young man. I believe a summer to work with coaches will do him wonders(hopefully). He has the upside.

No one here knows what's best for the kid but from the outside this sure SEEMS like the best thing. Projected OAD , no NBA interest and transfers? I just didn't see it. Why lose an entire year sitting out when ya gotta figure he thought he'd be NBA-bound THIS year? Just seems prudent to re-set at Duke. Work hard , shake off any effects of his injury and PLAY! Gets to up his stock then go get his money. I'm lookin' at this as a recruiting win. From all stories , there was some indecision on his part so the staff may have had to re-sell Duke to 'im...and it worked. Add him to the class comin' in. Good news.
Not that I thought we had a legit shot at Bamba but why would a man returning who played maybe 20 minutes all year mean Bamba goes elsewhere?
If a kid doesn't want to compete for PT and expect to have a spot handed to them then I hope they either don't come at all or transfer. Don't want them in a Duke jersey period. This day of age with everyone leaving early left and right you are going to get recruited over eventually. It only makes sense. I don't see any players promising to stay 3-4 years, so why should a staff not continue to explore recruits no matter who has the spot already filled.

Now if we can just get Duval we will be ok. Couldn't afford to lose Bolden at all. I be damn if Vrank was going to be the starter. I hope Knox go somewhere else so we don't have to worry about the small ball bull. Duval, Jackson, ?, Carter, and Bolden. Javin, Trent, White, Vrank. That's a good lineup. Grayson or Luke will probably come back but their bad defense won't really matter with the two bigs in the game. We can finally get some paint protection and rebounding.
