I guess my little Bolden voodoo doll is finally starting to work.

Lol - yeah, I definitely don't want to see any player injured, but after the melodrama last year, Bolden is definitely high on my Top 10 list of least favorite recruits we missed out on.

My hope is that he is locked in his room, refusing to come out and crying over his decision to spurn UK. Plus, he's finally realized he'll have to troll the NC State campus if he wants to hook up with a semi-hot girl.

But Raleigh sure is full of them and the bar scene is top notch as far as college cities go.

He probably had a stroke from running.

He looks out of shape and slow last game.

Awesome - I seriously can't remember the last time I've been so excited for a UK game. I love this team.

any updates?

According to the Duke insiders, Bolden is just "resting" after a hard week of practice. WTF?

The good news is that Chase Jeter is having a solid game in his absence, so we have yet one more avenue for discord on the team as the year progresses. [winking]

Whaaaaaaaaaaa?

Bolden will be a lottery pick whenever he leaves Duke.

It won't be this year. With ball-hogs like Allen, Kennard, Jackson, and Tatum in the backcourt, not to mention Giles in the frontcourt if he ever comes back, Bolden's points are going to have to come mainly off rebounds.

Plus, Bolden isn't known as a "high motor" guy, and guys who struggle with their motor really struggle when they never touch the ball.

He is going to have to show the scouts something more than size or "intangibles" this year to be in the discussion as lottery pick. Pre-season projections mean nothing.

I'm actually flabbergasted by the excuse

I think it was more likely, as someone said, that he was suspended or something - but they could have just said he was held out for precaution reasons
The pretentious Duke program could never actually admit that their picture perfect student-athletes ever did anything to require discipline.

Duke will lose TEN games this year. They could win the National Championship, but they will lose ten games.

It is near impossible for duke to be allowed to lose ten games. If that was a possibility it is also a posibility Coach Krashitski will have a season ending back issue...

I don't care what anyone says, they aren't "resting" him, he's either injured or in the doghouse.

At this time of year, players are incredibly excited to play against anyone other than against each other. "Resting" a guy is punishment unless he's hurt.

Perhaps. I think his chances of that go exponentially up if he stays at Duke more than one year. If he leaves this year, I'm not so sure. Folks can talk all day about wingspan, but the NBA will also want to see if Bolden has a work ethic and a motor. Two years at Duke would help Bolden.

Resting? Might be the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Duke fans are scrambling for a narrative.

Dog house doesn't work, because it paints the program in a negative light, so they went with "resting." Then, realizing that the "resting" thing is par for the course when it comes to weak notions of Dukeness, they've apparently changed the narrative again to "flu".

By next week, the narrative will have changed to "Bolden was getting ahead of his academics and decided to write his final paper three weeks early. K signed off because he promotes a program that offers more than just basketball in a way that will set up young men for life."

Rumor has it he tripped Gracie during practice and made him cry.

Here's Grayson now, preparing for his next practice...
