I enjoyed getting to know Marques a little better. The facts that he had no basketball in his family and that he didn't play much basketball in middle school explain a lot. He did not prepare for this level of play the way that most of our other elite freshmen did as young prospects. Marques was just huge and happens to be a really bright young man. He's just behind on game speed and instincts. I bet you he's going to be a great NBA player when he's 26. Hopefully we see some of that in the next few years. His high school ranking reflected his potential moreso than his ability at that time.

I still marvel at his play in the comeback win against Miami at home. He was disruptive on defense.
If we get that version of Bolden game in and game out, he'll be a huge piece to our run.
Pulling for him to not only succeed but to be a starter for the entire season.
And confidence. Everyone talks about the Miami game and how good he played. Weird that the best game of his season was when K wasn't there. He played confused looking all but one game
