you can go ahead and sleep on TCU. They just hired a new coach that wasn't even previously recruiting him and he's already set a "date". They're the token local school.
Hope so. But if the date is in fact April 17 like he said, that's a long time for Dixon to work his way back in. Not trying to be a pessimist but last spring is still fresh in my mind.

I didn't put any words in your mouth.......you said them.

" Couldn't be that their coaches care more about keeping them around could it?"

If that doesn't mean that Coach K would convince Allen to come back against his will, then what does it mean? Your words not mine.

You said force, not me pal. There is a world of difference between forcing and convincing. Anyway, just move on, I'm done debating this with you.

Recruiting is very fluid for those that don't know ... Things change espically when everyone in a kids camp is for different schools. It's not cut and dry like some think. Kids change there minds a lot. They have tons of people pulling them this way and that way. I'm covering all my bases . I still feel Marques bolden will be at uk next year. Bolden will listen to tcu for sure though. Dixon has had a few bigs make it to the nba and as we have seen with miss st and new coach Ben howland they can convince stars to stay home and be the man in a short period of time.

Ben Howland was off the whole year and like Huggins before he took the Kansas state job was recruiting Beasley 24/7 to join him ....... Howland was doing the same with Newman.

Dixon had a job at Pitt and wasn't recruiting Bolden so there isn't that connection to really worry about

So in other words, you don't know where Bolden is going........you are guessing. That's all fine, just don't state things like "Bolden will be you guy's starting center next year" so definitively if you are just guessing.

Well it's an educated guess. He can go to Duke and back up Jefferson or he can go to UK and start...

Has Coach K stopped cursing out guys for leaving early and "f$cking up my program"? And a lot of value in the 3 year bunny sociology program they all take. Lance prolly leveraged that future sociology earning potential to buy that jewelry.

Thought this was interesting.

I'm not too big on the 247 Sports Crystal Ball, but Chad pegging a Duke prospect to go elsewhere is very telling...

As of now bolden is cals. That's where he went last week after sec tourney. Bolden will be your starting center next year. Kid will be nice by the end of the season once he gets adjusted to the speed of the game.

Man no disrespect. But do you know what you're talking about or not?

TCU is literally rebuilding its coaching staff. Why on earth would Bolden go there?

Token in-state.

And I haven't really seen any confidence in Bolden picking Duke, especially since Jefferson is coming back. Interesting Duke/Amile Jefferson fact... Jefferson had played as many minutes at Duke as the entire rest of the team had combined at the start of this year.

i have no idea where Bolden ends up at
but i read where one of our coaches said that this year TW and IH is their year to shine
that makes me wonder on how good our coaches feel about Bolden coming to UK

I think they say that every year about the players that get very little PT.

Thats like trying to pick from among three cars - a Mercedes, a BMW, or a Geo Metro. I don't care how good gas mileage the Geo gets, or if his girlfriend's dad is a Geo dealer or whatever. Kid ain't driving a Geo.

He previously said it would be before the Hoops Summit game. It's on April 9th. I don't think he waits that long. I bet it's next week.

Had a Geo Metro for 7 yrs. Had no cruise control, no power windows, and no AC. That was tough during 650 mile trips let me tell you.

Dom cannot do this, nor can any other "recruited scholarship" players.

A walk on can receive a scholly later and then rescind without counting against the total, but not a player that came as a scholarship player they will always count whether they go academic or pay their own way.

Estill was a partial qualifier when he arrived and paid his own way that redshirt season.
Estill went on Financial aid after he had been on scholarship. Not sure what special circumstances he had but it happened. Things might have changed since then!

I know that, but he also paid his own way his freshman season as a partial qualifier, thus he wasnt a recruited scholarship player.

Players can come off schollies anytime, who counts against the limit is the question here.

A player recruited as a scholarship player will always count if they switch to some other form of aid.

A whole lot of dumb in his thread.

Z71 has posted solid info the past 2-4 years. He has not been right everytime but he has been right more than he has been wrong. I wish he would of saved the posts so he could throw it in some of your faces. I mean wtf attack this guy? This is also free info. And it is going along with the HOB info. This guy has connections he is not just throwing stuff on a wall. No wonder the people who has info never posts on here anymore.

Bolden isn't a superstar big, but we don't need him to be with this class. He's a smart, strong kid, a big body, a fundamentally solid player who can rebound and score in the post. We could have used him bad this year. I'm picturing him as being like a slightly taller version of Caleb Swanigan.

Man what a group that would be . My bet is Mulder leaves and we look like this next year

Fox/Monk/Briscoe/Bam/Bolden

bench - Hawkins/Willis/Humphries/Gabriel /Lee ( those guys all play alot )

Tai/SKJ/Matthews - these 3 don't play much at all. If lee does leave Matthews plays more .

Hope we don't run this 5. That's at least 3 guys on the floor who can't shoot.

Put Bolden, Bam, and Gabriel on the front line and having average shooters won't be that big of a deal. All three of those guys are elite rebounders.
