So I was googling Bobby Hall, and an old topic about him appeared ("People still talking about Bobby Hall's comments on OOB"). I saw a bunch of errors and misnomers about MC. So as a MC grad, I thought I'd correct it.
1) "Madison Central has 2100 students attending" -Thick. Bull-Freaking-Crap. MC has 1500 students TOPS. Even when Germantown kids were there, the largest it ever was was 1800. Good try though.

2) "Outside of their district, who does MC play and win against?" -Thick. Recently? Petal (6A runner-up), West Monroe, LA (the South Panola of LA. Hadn't lost a game @ home in 5 years. That is, until MC beat them there.), Tupelo, South Panola. I won't go on.

3) "MC plays a very soft schedule and then gets clocked when it counts." -Coach66. See 2011 season. Prior to that. Yeah. Agreed.

4) "I wouldn't be shocked if MC had a losing season next year." -Todd4State. Excuse me : HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAAHHAHAHA. OK, I'm done.

5) " Hall's teams don't seem to blow people off the ball like other teams." -dawgstudent87. Ok, bro. They only AVERAGED 365+ yards a game on the ground.

6) There was an overall theme of "Bobby Hall never passes", which is normally true. However next year watch out for Jake Schwartz. Big time arm.

All I'm saying is know your crap before you spew it. Watch out for MC next year though. That junior class is something else. Smart, talented, and athletic. MC WILL WIN A 6A STATE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP WITHIN THE NEXT 2 YEARS. Someone please remember I said that. Write it down or something. Oh and yeah, personally Bobby Hall is a douche. But he wins and the kids love him.

He must have grown a few inches since I saw him last. Bobby doesn't throw because Bobby doesn't understand how to construct a passing attack. The guy at MRA knows how<div>to build a passing game, go watch them. For the record my kids go to Germantown so I'm not pumping the MRA coach.</div>

Mike Gundy. Left off the man crush formerly known as Petrino for obvious reasons.

And I played 99-02 and won a state title so I'm pretty informed
-at one time MC did have 2100 students (02ish)
-MC always scheduled tough. From 98-02 we played USP, Louisville, Brandon, and Moss point all regular season games
-Bobby Hall doesn't like to pass, he's a veer option guy and his career proves me right
-And lastly, my biggest beef, Bobby Hall teams aren't tough. They have all been soft. Teams take on the personality of their coach and he is a self serving prima Dona. You ever seen an interview. He craves spot light and fame. He is like ms hs version of a more feminine Rex Ryan. Frankly, every time he's on tv I'm embarrassed b/c he is such a flamboyant tool and that IS NOT the attitude you give off to teenagers who look up to you. 17 bobby hall

Is 6'1" and 205 lbs. Not exactly small. But seriously though, I understand Hall is a douche, but he wins and the right people like him. He's kinda a legend at the school (now at least).

championships with the talent MC has had since Hall has been there. They have been so one dimensional that they lose the big games because they are so easy to<div>game plan against.</div>

Thanks for throwing the "has/had" in there because I was curious about the running state of Madison Central's band program.

I would like to apologize to the board.

And FWIW my biggest beef with Bobby Hall among other things is that he doesn't give Mike Justice enough credit for building the program. Hall acts like MC football didn't exist before him, and yet guess who has more state championships at MC? Yep. Justice.

Justice built it. Then he's a mans man. Whiskey, malboro, and would cuss out a nun. A real American badass. Bobby hall couldn't fake that stuff if he wanted, he's really got the attitude of a woman

After Bobo, Espy, and Spencer all graduated. Justice left for Oxford Alabama. Might have been 2001?

Ted Taylor was who took over for Justice. He was there for about four years. Really well liked guy, but probably in over his head a little bit at MC. He went 5-6 his first year there and pretty much blamed it on Ridgeland high opening up. At least that was the excuse du jour and also the excuse given as to why Justice left. I thought it was a pretty lame excuse myself. Had a few nice seasons, but nothing really to brag about. He was kind of an odd coach for MC- long hair, rode a motorcycle. Not very cosmopolitan.

He had been a head coach at Florence and didn't really do much there.

Then Bobby "Lord of the Rings" Hall took over. I call him Frodo.

Was South Panola's ***** for years until last year. If he wins a State Championship, I will be shocked. If MC averages 15 passes a game I will equally be shocked. I actually hope he does win one so that maybe he will want to leave on a high note and MC can get someone in that is competent and won't underachieve consistently. Todd Mangum was the coach in waiting, but now he's at Wayne County, so I don't know what MC will do next. I hope it's MRA's coach, Amory's coach, or Anthony Hart from Lafayette.

The year MC won the state championship under Justice. They played Provine and threw 0 times. I understand they had a back-up qb but they 0 times. BTW that back-up qb was Bo Bradberry and unless something has changed he is an assitant coach for Justice in Gulfport.

and he didn't do very well. I don't know if he was fired or not or if he decided to leave on his own. I think he went something like 2-9 and lost to Madison St. Joseph's for the first time in many years.

Is that it is no coincidence that Bobby Hall has won so much at MC. No doubt that someone else could do better. But there are a lot of people that could do A LOT worse.

he won more there than Bobby Hall has ever dreamed of winning there. Hall has done a pretty good job, but he's generally scheduled real weak out of the division and the division is very weak. Hall's teams always get exposed by the first decent team they face in the playoffs. Hard to believe that Clinton and Warren Central let their programs get so bad.

Until MC starts building some depth, they will not win a state championship in the next two years. Theincoming junior class has some talent, but it is not developed. Yes they won big as 8th, 9th, and 10th graders, but that will nottranslate to varsity without development. Right now the bulk of the junior and sophopmore class are on the sidelines at practice. The loss of the linebacker to MRAis a big step back for MC. Kid wasa stud andthe best football player on the field. That's the reason the coaches begged him to comeback when he was planning to go to MRA earlier in the year. Now he is not coming back and there is a huge dropoff in talent behind. There is potential, but the window to develop is closing fast. Unless the philosophy on developing talentand building depth changes, MC will not win a state championship in the next two years.

Let's have a board wager. If MC wins a championship in the next two years, I will deactivate my account and never post hereagain.

If MC does not wina championship in the next two years, you do the same.
