This account on X posts some whacky crap. Are RU benefits really 70% of salary?
That post is from D1 ticker and has President Tate quoted in it, so I'd say it's true.

Think there is merit here and I'd wager the merger is part of the issueFor me (and I assume others) I definitely feel the merger lost people for putting the onus on the users to figure it out even though it was fairly simple. I’m imagining the merger was more complicated for the older fellas, with frustrations about change lol.
The main thing in my eyes though is that a ton of even the basic info on Rutgers Athletics is now behind a paywall that makes no sense to pay for. For example, paying to just have something become public in a couple days or sometimes even just a couple hours for a verbal commit that might not even really end up here is a weird concept to me.
I’ll keep tuning in and supporting the TKR pod / Rutgers Rant / The Scarlet Faithful / Knight Watch because those are R boys and give great perspectives.
Miss the old more active boards here. Go RU!

Put all of his eggs into the Wimsatt Basket so much that he didn’t recruit a legit FBS QB for a year or two.you're trying to make comparisons to a guy that thought Gavin was a starting BIG QB. just stop
Let’s see if you see these answers to your question or you’ll either ignore it or call it FAKE ANTI SCHIANO NEWS:Thanks KS for reply. Agree D was awful and that falls on the hc. GS is to blame for Smith and last two years D. Agreed.
But the point was Flood was somehow a good and better game day coach. I was looking for examples of each, most notably the oft repeated that GS game day coaching lost games and which games those were. Smith and the D were sytemic and not game day issues. Was just looking to discuss specific facts to flesh out to see if there was any basis to the trope.
The rest of the commnets appear to be dyed in the wool anti GS no matter what posts and thats different from a factual discussion, as that is a fact free zone and a feelings zone.

Ill add being in the drivers seat to beat Kansas State and literally run over the last 20 minutes or soLet’s see if you see these answers to your question or you’ll either ignore it or call it FAKE ANTI SCHIANO NEWS:
-Unable to beat teams like Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin and other teams at their worse who Rutgers are supposed to be modeling their programs after.
-Unable to beat a UCLA team who just fired their head coach and was in near shambles as they were coming into Piscataway that week.
-Calling that timeout vs Illinois
-Hiring Robb Smith for the third time after failing twice
-Running a fake field goal with a kicker who runs like a newborn cow vs the one Penn State team that Rutgers could’ve easily beaten.

He was more Sitkowski than AK.Had no WRs either. Give Wimsatt Duff and Strong and give AK Washington and Dremel

The record of the guy who was purportedly the backup plan if Greg 2.0 did not materialize, and at a school that was in equally bad shape, if not worse than Rutgers when he took over.Only took 3 pages before the conclusion that all of GS wins are really losses. Surprised that it didn’t come up sooner.
No way that team should’ve lost to K State.Ill add being in the drivers seat to beat Kansas State and literally run over the last 20 minutes or so
Greg thats whyNo way that team should’ve lost to K State.

Summary-3 seasons with winning records in the B1G. 3 seasons with 8 or more wins. Record against P4 teams with winning records
2022: 3-3
2023: 1-7
2024: 4-4
2025: 5-3
TOTAL- 13-17---That is 10 more wins than Greg against P4 teams with winning records in 4 years versus 5.
But keep celebrating mediocrity, actually worse than mediocrity.
It Rutgers fans fault that Jersey Kids born that year have gone elsewhere. Should’ve donated monthly salaries for NIL to a coach who doesn’t use KR or PR or have at least 3 WTF games a year. But 2006
Look where we were 10 years ago

As I've said before, if you wanna be impressed by what GS has done here just check out the histories of the sadsacks that have been Rutgers head football coach here since Anderson and the move to Big Time.Forget about NIL, transfer portal, etc., I think this program is just not built to survive a Chris Ash era. That destroyed any momentum with fringe fans and killed all the Big 10 hype.
There is a strong contingent of fans (and high level donors) who live in fear of another Flood/Ash disaster, which is understandable. However, they also seem blind to the fact that the program appears to be stuck in neutral, or perhaps reverse. To the anon poster above who slings insults, calling fans who want more "pathetic disgruntled people," it appears you are happy with a program that is trending below mediocre, and it may not be any better this year with the portal haul. We can only hope that the defensive coaching staff can work wonders with the talent they have and improve the defense. Two groups of reasonable fans can have differing opinions without insulting each other.Ash is long gone stop blaming him
Who sang the greatest country song ever!
Willie Nelson.
Really, that says so much more about the incompetent hiring (as well as poor resources pre-Schiano) than it does about Schiano himself. He's a very good program CEO who is great at lifting a program out of the Marianas Trench, but his record shows he's not able to drive them past middling. Without the benefit of the five nonconference games he used to be able to schedule in the Big East days, scrapping for bowl eligibility seems to be his ceiling. And it's not because of the Big Ten, either. Beginning the week after the Louisville game in 2006, his teams went just 17-21 in Big East play before he left for the Bucs.As I've said before, if you wanna be impressed by what GS has done here just check out the histories of the sadsacks that have been Rutgers head football coach here since Anderson and the move to Big Time.
You will be roundly attached as a SHU fan, which is ridiculous because SHU does not have a football team. He's just not that good a coach. He's got a record that makes it perfectly clear.
Led Zep. Hot Dog. Yeeehaaw.

That's exactly the way I look at being a fan of teams I follow. You're right, it's gone! I miss it too!
But you're right, I have no horse in this race. I pay attention because I love college football, but am detached enough from this situation to not let emotions govern my assessment of the coach or the program.
Most years as a Rutgers football coach too.
Frank Burns notched 78 wins in 11 seasons with 11 game seasons as the Rutgers head coach.
John Bateman notches 73 wins in 13 seasons, 10 of which were 9 game seasons.
