@RU848789 should be ashamed of himself.
Please, this is a thread about the board being quiet and I made a joke about why that shouldn't have impacted an RU fan watching the RU game. Inappropriate? Sure, in hindsight. Ashamed? No. I also happen to be very fatalistic about death and joke about it regularly, including my own future death (I have me in our dead pool, but sadly will never collect if I win).

Rutgers overcame the foul disparity to win the most important road game in Pikiell's tenure. Rutgers has now defeated Purdue two straight seasons when they were ranked number one which has to be some kind of record.I think this win will help with recruiting Dylan Harper because Purdue easily defeated Duke.

Jon Rothstein getting torched on Twitter for having the audacity to tweet stats about our game while the MNF situation was going on. Everyone telling him to "read the room".

I wish whoever is having issues on MNF all the best. That said, people are dying around the world as I type this. Just because one happens to be happening on live TV doesn't mean everyone needs to stop what they're doing.

Yeah because people have no reading comprehension skills.

I can't stand the guy but he was simply wondering how the logistics would eventually play out, but people read it as him suggesting the game should continue.
He should know there was a time and place to talk about it. He should have shut his mouth. Only tweets that should be about this are thoughts and prayers and facts.

He needed to be heard to stroke his mammoth ego. Too bad he has a pea sized brain.

But even thinking about the logisitics at that point was wrong, who cares about the logistics?

Bad take people don’t stop breathing on live tv with millions watching regularly.

Nobody said the whole world needed to stop. This is a board frequented by sports fans, so naturally it would draw their attention. Most here were going to watch mnf after the RU game. And that is why this board was quiet.

Agreed, that makes it unusual. It doesn't mean that people who aren't even watching that game are obligated to care about it anymore than the people who died between the time you wrote that and the time I responded to it.

I'm not saying you shouldn't care or it isn't important (esp to his friends and family obviously). But criticizing someone for tweeting college basketball stats while this is happening is.. insane.

It’s weird that a decent amount of posters are more outspoken when we don’t win or struggle…some even vanish completely when we win.

It’s odd stuff but they’re more likely trolls or internet geeks than Rutgers Basketball fans.
