Our season was going well and we looked phenomenal until the 2nd half of the OSU game. That game changed the course of the season. Refs aren't great in this league (could be worst in cbb) but Bo Boroski single handedly killed our team that game and mentally killed us the rest of the way.

Watching this Illinois game is frustrating especially that technical on Mulcahy but this just reminds me that the season we could have had was destroyed by Bobo.

Yep people ask what “happened” to our team. Abused by the refs, 6-0 3-0 cruising to 4-0 B1G up 16 and that call by Bo and the players realized Pikiell will never stand up for them. Every foul called against us since then has is like twisting the knife in the wound

Amazing when our players are allowed to stay on the court what happens. Refs have a chance to end all doubt though whenever they’re ready

if a ref in one game killed our team, we are mentally fragile and deserve what we get.

I LOVE our season!!!

OMG it's great..........

everyone who know BBall knows, all it take it takes is 1-2 extra fouls and NOT calling a few.. and the game swings.........

You can’t blame what happened in one game in December to what is happening now. Illinois is the better team right now, no doubt about it. Are there some bad calls? Yes. Do we foul too much? Also yes. Wisconsin got screwed by the refs the other day. It’s not only us. Maybe if we could rebound better the refs would not be as bad

Great post. Thread is in the top 5 from dumbest threads of the year. It was one game we legitimately had stolen (OSU); tonight was simply an ***-kicking that likely would've been 5-7 points closer if not for a few bad calls. Still a blowout.

Bo would have been better than those c*cksuckers tonight. Having said that, Illinois a top team and refs did not cost us this game.

I couldn't agree more. That POS Boroski Effed us in that OSU when we were up by 16. That game was ours, and he singly handedly made sure we lost that game when he called phantom calls against Myles and Myles was fouled out with more than 8:30 minutes left in the game. Ever since that game we have been up and down. Also the chemistry of the team changed when Caleb came back. I'm not blaming the kid, but the team has never really gelled since that time.

That’s right. A ref is the guy who stopped RU’s relatively short stint of shooting in a way that it has otherwise never shot over a 3 year period. If it only wasn’t for that ref, for instance, RHJ would still be shooting over 50% from three.
