Agreed, I love seeing the players actually play and not the little scrimmage or whatever they do at the BBM lmaoI haven't heard but really hope there is one. I've always enjoyed that game more than BBM.
more of a showcase to get the fans pumped up for the guys than anything lolAgreed, I love seeing the players actually play and not the little scrimmage or whatever they do at the BBM lmao
I thought I saw that there would be no pre season scrimmages (with other teams). Don't remember if that included Blue/White. But I doubt they will have.
Just a guess John, but the lease for Rupp is probably already paid, and the quality of the broadcasts will be better in Rupp than Memorial. I’d like to see it though.Given the state of Covid right now, I don't see any justification for holding Big Blue Madness or frankly even the Blue-White game. Those are intended for the fans but they don't rise to putting anyone at risk. If they really want to hold the Blue-White game, then that's fine by me, but it is as Allen Iverson says a glorified 'practice' and Big Blue Madness is not even that.
As for exhibition games, schools over the past decade at least have had the option to hold a 'secret' scrimmage against another Division I team in lieu of exhibition games before fans. That seems to be the best way to go this year IMO.
FWIW, I've already said that if there are going to be severe limitations on attendance anyway, I wouldn't be against them just holding the games in Memorial Coliseum. I don't see playing in Rupp as much of any advantage if it's going to be mostly empty.

The NCAA also said UNC was innocent.NCAA said there would be no exhibitions or scrimmages against other teams.
I agree with much of that John. I definitely don't see a need for Big Blue Madness. Without fans, it would be pointless. What I was hoping for, or maybe expecting, is that the team would be able to have a Blue-White game and it could be televised for fans, and it would give the team a chance to work on game situations. An exhibition might accomplish that even more effectively, but I have to admit I'm just wanting to get a look at the players in live action. But I do understand that the situation with the pandemic is going to dictate some of this.Given the state of Covid right now, I don't see any justification for holding Big Blue Madness or frankly even the Blue-White game.
