The Blue-chip ratio fallers list just about says it all. Really hope a respectable 2017 season will open the door to 4-5 4* recruits a season. No reason the State University of NJ can't pull that off.

just curious....what do you think Ash has to pull off this year to start convincing local talent to stay home?

4 with a LOT of close losses....but I think 5 including the last home game with Michigan State could turn it around with Ash.

i can't see 6 wins on this schedule, but obviously anything more than 5 wins (which would include the ever coveted Bowl game)....Ash will seriously turn the corner sooner than later.

I think 4 wins will at least catch the attention of the local studs. It would take RU out of embarrassing status and place them more in the light of Maryland and I guess Indiana. I'm hoping that 4 wins and maybe one close game with one of the big dogs and Ash can start making a run at 3-4 of the NJ top 10 again. The BIG is in a weird spot where it's entirely unreasonable to think 6 or 7 wins is on the table, but if things break the right way this team should be able to split with Maryland, Purdue, Illinois, etc..

fair enough

yeah, crazier things have happened (nobody thought we'd win the Big Ten, including myself......we were also 3 TD underdogs to OSU), so who knows.

that being said...to go bowling....you have to win 4 out of these 5:

@Illinois
vs Purdue
vs Maryland
@Indiana
vs Michigan State

i don't know...that's a tall order. obviously, it's not just Rutgers trying to improve....everybody is. i think it's realistic to hope to win 3 outta 5 in this group.

if they pull 6 wins out this year and go bowling?....uh, that'll be a big story.

4 takes you out of embarrassment status, like you said....2 Big Ten wins will feel good (regardless who it is)......5 wins, a 3 win improvement, would cause a lot of excitement surrounding the program.

it'll be interesting to watch.
