Obviously with the poor shooting over the past 2 (10?) years, we're all geeking out that RU is leading the nation in 3pt. shooting %, but in looking at stats it seems we're also leading the nation in blocks per game. Its interesting, because when the RAC was at it's best, at least in the recent past, we had a combo of great 3 point shooters and then shot blockers on the other end (Herve, Hamade, etc.).

Hopefully, Myles and Shaq can keep it up, along with our long guards and wings, as this can partially make up for the less than stellar perimeter D.

We are 3rd in the country blocking 23.5% of our opponents attempts.

That tells me 3 things.
1. Our perimeter defenders are getting beat off the dribble
2. We are long
3. Our bigs are doing a good job, so far, rotating to help

We are blocking a quarter of opposing teams shot attempts?!? That's insane

I'm not sure how block rate is calculated, but no, that's not right.

Drexel attempted 59 shots, we blocked 8.
FDU attempted 63, we blocked 12.

Looks like we have 20 blocks, and opponents have gone 48/122 against us. So, we'd be blocking 16.4% of their attempts (20/122), but 27% of their missed shots (20-74) were blocked.

FIG, not sure what data you're using.

It appears to be 2-point field goals only. We have 20 blocks, opponents have attempted 85 2-pointers. 20/85 = 23.5%

Thiam, Kiss, and Baker account for 5 of our 20 blocks - not sure if any of those were on attempted 3s.

Pretty sure Geo blocked at least one 3. Regardless we block a lot of shots with long players at other positions besides just the bigs
