I’ve seen this referenced in a few places (not just on the Banks - but see Ed section):

Can someone explain how it was a 10 point swing? If they get the blocked FG they take over around where they ended up getting the ball after our TD with like 30 seconds to go in the quarter. Considering they ran out the clock when we gave it back to them with 25 seconds left, it’s safe to assume they would’ve done the same thing. So the halftime score would’ve been 7-3 us rather than 14-3. Isn’t that a 7 point swing or am I missing something? Why would there be an assumption of them scoring again?

I heard them saying that and it made no sense.

Yeah, it was a "potential" 10 point swing, assuming they could have gotten into FG range from their own 22 in 36 seconds. Instead, they got the ball back on their own 20 with 25 seconds.

It was definitely a 7-point swing, though.

Your forgetting the part about actually making the FG once they get there.

I started thinking that way while at the game, then I was like, no, just seven. Either way, it has to be one of the most deflating things to happen to a team before halftime on the road.

I think the announcer screwed up, just thinking about how a blocked FG for one team can get turned into a TD for the other team. I could see calling it a four point swing play if Patel just made the kick.
Please 🙏 don't put pressure on Patel by asking him to make FG s
