So you say ?...every time we read something like this we get our hopes shattered ....either post a picture or stop with how good he looks when at the beach...if Blessaun's new body translates to more production then great.

He used to be super skinny. I'm just saying he looks to be a lot bigger that's all. Lean muscle.

He's def packed on muscle, but I don't remember him being super skinny. Always was a lean but muscular looking guy.

It's hard for normal slobs (like myself) to fathom getting hit at full speed by a guy like that!

Unfortunately this. Even the pictures, who cares? I remember all the stories last year about Kenny Parker and how we finally looked like a Big Ten team. Meant absolutely nothing once the games started.

I remember going to a charity softball game and pepper johnson was there, playing center field I think, and there was a pop up and he completely steamrolled this kid who was your average looking 18ish year old.

It didn't appear that kid could fathom getting hit by an NFL'r even after he got hit by one.

I was pretty critical of all that preseason talk too as we were losing games by 70+ points.

But I do hold out hope that in year 2 we will see some positive results from Parker's efforts.

I doubt many people said that. You won't see many physical S&C changes after a year. KP is a monster asset though.

Seriously?! Did you take a break from the boards last summer. There was a fairly large group of posters carrying on as if he was going to single-handedly turn our program around as a result of his off-season S&C program.

It also takes a level of maturity of the players. Austin was probably told he has a future playing on Sundays if he did everything he could to make himself the best player he can be, and he hit the ground running with that message. Yes, S&C program is a factor but its not like we didn't have weights and guys yelling at him before.

Yep, he's got that right. Just like there were people in December of 2015 making all sorts of claims about Ash, there were others doing exactly what CK said.
This joke definitely a litmus test for "who has been on this board for a very long time"
What joke?

How you doin'!

About 13-14 years ago...there was a headshot of Tre Timbers that RutgersAl commented and used as an example of how RU was gonna kick butt partially because Jay Butler got this team built up.

Turns out the headshot was over a year old...

S&C is great and an absolute necessity. However, it doesn't make average football players Super Stars. You need to have talent in that body. Austin clearly has the talent, just speaking more towards the entire team

If the current regiment is better then the previous regiment, and everyone on the team, from our best players to our worst, are even slightly better for it, that could make a pretty significant difference on the field.

I think we all agree the program is in better hands. The issue I had last year was that many here were swayed by a lot of over confident talk by the new regime, a lot of it directly pointing to KP and his S&C program. It was overrating both the new staff's capabilities and the old staff's recruiting.

As for BA, I would expect most players in their 3rd year of college training, to look different than when they were younger. That's not to say he doesn't look like he's ready to kick *** this year.

I mean Purdue looks like a Big Ten team and look at their record lol. Its just that Ohio State and Michigan look like NFL teams. Your problem is only a small percentage of your players look like that. All of our players look like that. Even the freshmen.

I fully believe Skoolie was correctly referring to people that know what B1G football players look like. Not a bunch of creampuffs sitting in momma's basement.
