Just curious on what you guys opinion is on if he ends up playing at state or not? I know it depends on draft so where do you see him ending up?

If he comes to MSU, then he regressed. The kid was being called the next Bryce Harper at one point.

He got approved to move up a class. He can now be drafted after next year (2020) which will be his Junior year of high school.

I can’t think of a reason they’d do that unless they're preparing him for the draft. The word is that he’ll be drafted very early first round and will sign.

Yeah Blaze ain’t coming to state. Talked to him a couple weeks ago and he reclassified as a senior this upcoming year for the draft.

He's much closer to Mark Trumbo than Bryce Harper. It's gonna be tough for him as a HS corner hitter to climb extremely high in the draft.

Austin Hendrick is the Bryce Harper clone. Not Blaze

Due to classifying early, he would only 20 after 3 years at MSU but with stats. Only way his profile goes in 1st round is usually with stats.

Mark Trumbo spent 10 years in the Big Leagues. If a team knew that’s what they were getting going in, they would use a first round pick.

My sons get hitting lessons up at Dulins which is where Blaze played his competitive ball. Every person you talk to up there says he will be going in the draft

The truth is that we'll just have to wait till after the Summer to see what his prospect value is.

It's kind of irresponsible for anyone to say he's going in the draft right now because he doesn't even know where he fits in the draft right now.

Perhaps the absolute worst thing about Perfect Game is that they rank young
Kids and set forth expectations that may or may not be reality.

Go check how many HS 1st baseman's go in the 1st round or get a million dollars and the come back to me.

On one hand speculation on his draft position is irresponsible. On the other comparing him to a specific major leaguer is not.

Got it.

Just an illustration to indicate the type of player he could be. Not the type of player he is.

Surely you're smart enough to understand that.

I’m sharp enough to spot irony when I see it.

In this case it was pretty obvious. To most.

I think he was going pro anyway but you’ve got to think Austin Riley’s

quick call up and instant success will play a factor in keeping him away from school.

Blaze doesn’t play 1B. He played 3B for Desoto Central. He’s been clocked at 92 mph and his in the 99% in every category for hitting that they measure for prospects. His exit velo is 102 mph. Average in his class is like 84. You clearly don’t have a clue what you are talking about. He was the #1 prospect in the 2021 class and will be in the top 10 in the 2020 draft prospects. You may not see his draft stock but major league scouts do. He’s a pure hitter and he will get drafted high just for the fact that his potential is high. I wish he would come to State but it just ain’t happening.

He is ranked in the top 15 for next years draft by MLB.com and if Austin Riley can play third then so can Jordan.I guess MLB.com is "irresponsible".

Seems like anytime we sign a big bat they go pro. Its one reason the stature of our team seems to look smallish against some of the better teams we play. Can't remember the last time we got a big time HR threat to campus.
