each black shirt will be earned by weekly play, and how that play is trending.
after issuance (after minisota game/1 per position) they will remain in the locker when not in use for easy dramaless removal if need be. (see arm tackles, slow/out of position, dancing after positive gains by offense)

they will be flat black, with a helmet/skull logo on the inside top label behind the neck/ made in USA

I'm pleased that Rhule has my take on the whole blackshirt thing. It's more of a state of mind. I think I heard him say that blackshirts were used for the D in practice at his first HC job. People outside of Lincoln feared and revered the Blackshirt not for the color of the practice shirts, but because of the skill and effort of play. The name is still used. But when the Blackshirts begin to play like the teams of old, NU will be back.
Rhule can handle the handing out of jerseys and practice shirts as he wishes. I want to see some kids hit opposing ball carriers like Mike Knox used to.

When will they be given out?
How will they award them?
What color will they be?
New staff better not mess this up

This is more than possibly RedBitch
I’ve absolutely got my suspicions as well, I just want to give this guy the benefit of the doubt initially. But it is very suspicious that as soon as he got banned, this guy starts posting…

They should just keep this simple; you start on defense you get a blackshirt. Now, I realize there will always be a gray area because of different packages but just eliminate all the subjective BS.

Knox laid the loudest hit I ever heard in Memorial.
I remember that hit and was in the stadium that day, but the loudest I've ever heard was John Ruud's destruction of Kelly Phelps on that KO return against OU in 78. Even through the deafening croud noise, you could hear those pads ring throughout the stadium when Phelps got blasted. By the way, Phelps suffered a severe Collarbone break and 2 blown out knees on that one hit. Still to this day the hardest hit in DONU history and am suprised that he was ever able to play again, but was back as OU's starter in 1982. That 78 OU game was my very 1st game I attended.

The Knox hit I saw (and heard) was around the 35 yard line, south half, East sideline. If I’m remembering correctly.
