He’s got a motor that wont quite and he’s got a drive to be the best and never give up.

does anyone have detailed breakdowns of the other LBs in the following areas

1. The likelihood of their motors quitting (never, rarely, sometimes, often, frequently)

2. Their drive to be _________ (the best, good, pretty good, average, below average, a blackshirt)

3. Give up (never, rarely, sometimes, frequently, consistently on big 3rd downs)

I'm not sure how I feel about the idea. But u have to guess if they are thinking about it then they are contest ILB while NOT being comfortable at OLB. Maybe they think he gets on the field faster there.

While I agree he probably won't stop the run like Nelson but imo there is no way in hell he will be worse than Nelson in coverage... Absolutely no way.

Ok, your a paid member too and you had to of heard about the Nick Henrichs to OLB talk too (along with trying Snodgrass, P Payne and Jackson Hannah as well). And thats my guess, it might be away to get Nick Henrichs on the field faster. He’s one of those linebackers that can play the run and pass coverage. You can leave him in on any down and not have to worry when passing downs come around. Nelson was a beast on running plays but he was liability when it came to pass coverage.

We saw multiple OLBs bust big time in big moments last year. Cost us at least two games. That is all mental. Honestly the only two LBs that gave me hope last year were Jojo and Reimers with a little glimmer from Honas. Honas had some good moments later in the year. Just hoping the discipline and teamwork is better in the front seven this year or it's going to be another disappointing season.

agreed, Mike Dawson was saying what he noticed last year at OLB what he seen was his guys not setting the edge and protecting it against the run and so on. He was saying they have to get more disciplined and getting better mentally. I feel good about Mike Dawson as our OLB coach, now hopefully he can find some pieces to plug in there and find us a solid unit for the 2020 season. OLB has been a major weakness outside Jojo Domann.

Yeah that was the major weakness. Not setting the edge with our OLB's.
