I agree. I think most of it is from low post count members, who have 5 posts since 2006, or something. Smells like Coach11, PJshaivan69, etc, has figured out a way to backdate accounts

They are not that smart or they wouldn't be somewhere they are not wanted. (Not judging, just observing...)

he is choosing between UT/VT. UK has been eliminated unfortunately.
So Barnes had him remove his name from consideration of joining UK and instantly becoming “the” Title favorite, and sure fire 1st rounder?

When I hear “top priority” I think that means this person is the recruit we want most. We’re putting more effort into that one in any ither.

Saying KB will be the star of your team isn’t the same as he’s the top priority.
I don't get the Top priority thing, over who? The are done they have 13 players and they are trying to get the 7-foot transfer they got cleared to play next year instead of sitting out. There is no one else to go after so #1 priority when your team is actually done.

Let me see if I get what you are stating. No one should post anything until it's official. (can't just single out Dave.) If I am not understanding that, let me know as I am going to ask Cats-illustrated to shut down their operation. (They won't but that is the effect of what you are asking.)

Give it a rest man. I said I had no problem with Dave Kersey. Are you his boy?

I have no problem with Dave but it sure seems like he's kind of made an effort to build some sort of reputuation here lately. It's not just him starting this thread, its other things he's said as if he's in the know. The board is a dumpster fire when it comes to a kid deciding between UK and somewhere else.

He called McDaniels to UK. Then when he knew it wasn’t happening. When everyone knew it wasn’t happening, he changed his pick. He’s not connected.

Barnes will have to make room for Blackshear before he announces he’s committing there. That would be a little awkward if not.

He's still torn...

Doesn't wanna leave home....liked Barnes desperate pitch to give him all of the shots....

But knows UK is the best option...may not want it...but knows it's the best option

Most of us are his boy so maybe you give it a rest. Dave goes way back on many boards and is a really good poster. Besides that us Ft. Myers/Bonita Springs guys stick together.

Blackshear wasn’t an NBA prospect because he can’t put the ball on the floor. There is no 5 in the NBA anymore. Barnes and others probably “promised” him they could change that. Cal promised nothing but had his own vision of Blackshear to the NBA. Cal was honest but Blackshear’s people didn’t want to hear it. My opinion.

Or it gave them something to think about.

Sounds logical but lets wait and see where he ends up first.

So I'm guessing the longer the better for his announcement? More time to think...maybe the he goes in phases of interest...and needs time to process?

I made the mistake of going on Twitter to see what the rumors were.Several were saying he's going to Tenn because his girlfriend is moving to Knoxville and he is following her. That one is just crazy to me.:joy:

Yup, that's the best way to get to NBA, follow the girlfriend. Ugh

I bet Cal gets him drafted if he comes to UK. I will take bets. (If you're speaking of Blackshear.)
If you mean late second then it's possible only because a particular team would like him enough to want him to attend their camp.
He will still get a two way at best.
He totally out of consideration for the first.
His evaluation is complete in the eyes of the NBA. He played in the ACC and had a first round teammate. He's been seen by every scout in the NBA.
I remember when Bogans came back for his SR year and a scout made the comment that he would not be back to "evaluate" Bogans as he had already been evaluated.
Bogans has a hell of a year leads his team to a #1 seed and an elite eight finish
Still goes 43 while Reese Gaines from UL goes in the teens.
When the NBA deems you a second round to undrafted player, your not shaking that.

If he goes to UK and is not injured he will go first round. (An injury and all bets are off.)

Absolutely not
It's never happened.
Uninvited to combine as a Jr to first round as a sr.
No way.
Even if he comes to UK, Cal will stick him on the block because that's what he is a low block scorer at the college level. To late in the game for a total body transformation.

Maybe Blackshear Jr or Sr s addicted to gambling. We all know he has a better shot at a FF and title here but think about the other things that apply to him and his NBA dream. Sure there are better players here, but those better players will bring more scouts and more exposure that he can also be seen by. At TN even their fanbase seems to think their season is make or break by landing KB. So by going to TN, he is gambling that he can do it all and get scouts to come to watch TN. But why would they if they don't have a very good team? To see him who they passed on in this draft? Maybe he makes TN good enough to make the Tourney and make a run. But that's a big maybe because history is against them.

So you come to UK and maybe you take fewer shots, but he would get all the minutes he can handle. So with one year left he is going to gamble on a bunch of maybes instead of sure things like UK will make a run at the FF and will be in the Tourney for sure. UK gets a ton of exposure and scouts are constantly at games and practices. So all those great players that may scare him off might be his ticket to getting the exposure he needs. Seems crazy to me to gamble against a sure thing, but I guess crazier things have happened. Just not at TN. This isn't a guy with ties to TN. This is a guy that wants to be drafted period. The best bet is UK. But maybe he wants to roll the dice with his future.

I am willing to bet money, not talk about it but I understand.
