Please enlighten how this situation is any different than a player named Reid Travis who was on our team last year doing the exact same thing as KB would be?

Travis averaged great numbers as a junior in the PAC12. Blackshear averaged great numbers as a junior in the ACC.

Neither were on any draft board following their junior year.

Reid Travis is not on any draft board following his year at Uk.

What makes you think KB will go from no draft board to first round?

How can he have anymore to prove? Just like Travis, he averaged great figures in a P5. If they didn’t want him at a YOUNGER age, averaging close to a double double, after their junior seasons, they likely don’t (Travis isn’t getting drafted Thursday) want them after another year in college just to age. There is not a significant change between junior and senior year when you are going from P5 school to P5 school. That was proven last year with Travis.

Some just aren’t a good fit for the NBA.

Travis and KB situations are about as close as you can get.

So don’t “LOL” in someone’s face when he has more of an argument than you do.
You're kidding me right?

I stopped reading after the second paragraph.

Do you mean to tell me that you don't know the difference between Kerry Blackshear and Reid Travis??? So you think both guys are built the same and play the same style???

Then… ..you are going to tell me you think the PAC12 is equal to the ACC?

There is one hell of a difference between RT and KB and there is an even bigger difference between competition, talent and depth between the PAC and the ACC. Kerry Blackshear was first team all ACC, RT wouldn’t have ever sniffed first team all ACC.

Put KB in the PAC and he'd look like a lottery pick.

Have you ever even seen KB play? If you think he's a below the rim player that can't shoot, then you don't know what you're looking at.

I'm hoping you're enlightened like you requested.

Duke and NC could not handle Blackshear, and he did not have the amount of help he would have here. That alone shows how tough a player he is. Hope we don't have to face him, because he would do the same to us.

Just FYI but Blackshear was 2nd team all ACC

I worked in a bowling alley 25+ years ago as a porter. Late on Friday night, the place was packed. I went to a pay phone, called the girl at the front counter and asked her to page Mike Hunt.

She paged that name over the intercom 5 times as I waited on hold until she caught on.
In 7th grade I went to school with Harry Balls and in the 11th grade I was friends with Anita Schmidt.

I'll bite. What's special about Monday that you need your answer before then? [cheers]

Nothing. I would simply welcome some good news by then, or perhaps earlier. If he takes him a month to decide and it's UK that's okay too. Better to get the news sooner rather than later, at least from my from my perspective. No hidden agenda here.

I'm with you, but if I'm KB, I better know that I'm losing very valuable practice and conditioning time the longer I wait.

I remember back in 13/14, the twins flew to Lexington, but couldn't get enrolled at that time, so they had to go home.

Cal said they got off to a slow start that season because they missed so many of those summer workouts.

It's not just the workouts and conditioning, it's very important that they have as much time together as a team for meshing prior to the start of the season.

But at least KB is a veteran, that has to help a ton.

I went to college with a guy named Richard Head, We all called him Dick Head. His parents should have thought of that before they named him Richard.
That scene in What Happens in Vegas when he meets her boss
“Wait, your name is Richard Banger? Dick Banger? You sir have just provided us with jokes for the weekend!”

I've got to say, I feel ridiculously confident in it now.

I've always said: When all the internet buzz is for one place--it's usually right. Everything you hear the last few days seems to indicate UK is going to run away with this.

I haven't felt that way since...Well, Juzang. But Blackshear is another level of "recruit."

We always called and asked could you page and see if Jack Meioff is there. Ballard Lanes I think was the name of the bowling alley in Madisonville. I know Eddie Ballard owned it.
