That's promising because Jake is a UL kid.
I hope he commits on visit but,wouldn't be surprised if he looks at TexAM out of a courtesy to his former coach.
I thought I read that they didn't get along? Something about how Buzz quit?
And for a new kid on the block , he’s pretty good at getting info. Kudos to the young man!

Jake is extremely connected. Kid has worked his way up really quickly as a recruiting guru. I would take this as best news yet on Blackshear and UK

The answer is, he called the KBJ visit to UK. Always somebody that’s gotta sh*t on a positive thread. Smh
I don't recall hearing about any friction between Buzz and Kerry. Buzz Williams is a solid dude. If he's trying to get to the pros though why would he go to play for a coach who's already taken him as far as he is able to. He's graduated. This is know strictly a business decision.
Ive already told you knuckleheads - KB to UK is strong. Stronger than you think - well, at least some on staff think so anyway. What I’m saying is - of course I don’t know ****, but my buddy who has some sources tells me that some on the staff feel really really good about KB being at UK soon.

Well if he has no plans on going to A&M, respect would be calling his old coach and telling him I am not coming there so no need wasting your time. If he visits there, he is serious about going there. Now, it does not mean UK is out if he schedules a visit to A&M, but would love to lock him down while here, or a day or so after. If he takes that visit, it may be a while before we hear a decision.
I hope it comes to fruition. It's the only thing that makes sense in this situation. Michigan State and Florida make a little sense, but not as much as him coming to UK does.
Just like reid travis...all they have to do is get him in the building and the rest takes care of it self

Have to imagine Buzz Williams is trying real hard to land him. I know that's sort of a dumb statement, but it was be a great way to transition into TA&M with a top transfer coming in.

I totally know Florida staff is saying it's not true, they like their chances, but know they have to wait it out. But let's be honest...UK getting a visit at this stage has to scare the crap out of them. They'll have some major negative recruiting & BSing to do like they had to so with Lewis after his visit. In Blackshears case they will have more to do. All they can sell is "we need a 5, you can play close to home, & you can make us a top 15 team".
UK has more to sell:
-national title favorite
-more national exposure
-more NBA personnel exposure
-fierce competition in practice every day
-a staff that knows & has proven they know how to get guys to buy into the discipline & hard work it takes to master your craft
Hopefully their clan & family can filter out the BS & make the best decision for a kid in his situation.

Facilities and the stage. He has one path to the nba if that’s his goal and that’s through UK. Every other school is the path to a masters degree and that’s it. Not even a title
You make some very good points. Blackshear has played for Buzz for 4 years and still could not get into the NBA. I think Blackshear want to be at UK and wants to play for a coach like Cal that can get him into the NBA. The Kentucky affect is real and don't let anyone tell you different.
Look for Blackshear to be a Cat by this week-end.
All Calipari should tell Blackshear when he gets on campus is “Glad you could come today, I would of been alright with you coming Thursday but I have to be at the NBA Draft since I have three players in the green room.”
But, but, but Anonymous said he was going to FL for sure and he had inside info LMFAO! Not! I have felt very confident every since Cal had the in-home visit with the Blackshear's. Oh, and Jesus said we were all getting fooled and he would never even visit. What a joke. Everyone is an insider until they aren't.
Almost all of us know why Uk is the best choice for Blackshear and his path to the pros and I have felt confident about landing him since the beginning. There is always a chance he goes elsewhere, but with his last year does he really want to follow Buzz for a rebuilding year. That seems extremely risky and could be with a team that doesn't make the tourney. Let alone with how much improved the SEC is. Next, you have TN who already has 13 guys under scholarship so what do they do screw someone over. Plus they just had another 2019 guy on campus. They seem like they are scrambling to add another guy when they don't even have a scholarship open.
I trust in Cal and think this should be a slam dunk tomorrow. We get Blackshear and it's FF or bust. He instantly makes us the #1 team in the nation with a real chance at #9. We would have it all, deep at all positions and 2 seniors to go with a junior and 3 sophomores and the #2 recruiting class. Catlanta FF sounds amazing!
