This is why Ash should have been fired last year.
It means he’s redshirting and transferring. He’s too small for nfl.

I’m not understanding this logic. If these guys were to transfer wouldn’t they have to sit a year? Doesn’t it actually make sense to keep the redshirt and use it for the transfer sit out?
Will that not depend on the identity of the new Rutgers coach? My NFL watching days are long gone, but he's not a tweener, Eric Metcalf type?

Some of you lack fortitude in a big way. Frankly Blackshear or whomever are completely replaceable. Man up and accept that this is a challenge

Should have replaced Ash at the end of last season. Now all this fallout from them waiting. Name a new coach, hit rock bottom and start over. The right coach can recruit his players and we go from there.

The law of unintended consequences, and the result of an incompetent AD who not only doesnt know how to hire a head football coach, he doesnt even know how and when to fire the head coach. And I dont want to hear how good of fundraiser Hobbs is. The football program is at an all time low and it's on Hobbs. Plain and simple.

Pretty sure you could have safely rolled it all into one bet when the initial spread came out. Are we going to cover at all in any of the games for the rest of the year? Doubtful.
And why you don’t fire a guy after 4 games. This move was beyond incompetent.
Who cares. In three years he will be Tosh Riddick. Great player and who knows why he chose to redshirt. New coach, new program, move forward. If they hire the right coach, big IF, and can recruit, you don’t think the right coach can get another scat back with nfl potential? Please. Would you want your kid playing for a lame duck coach coughing up a year of eligibility not knowing who is coming in. He is a great player and hope he stays. If he doesn’t then thank you and have to move forward. He should protect himself and his future for what ever he sees it could be. This is a lost year but we should have another hundred plus. Admire and respect the players representing our university. Character is revealed through adversity. Support those still playing and analyze those that have not quit for next week or next year. Were we going to win the BIG this year? No. Relax with the drama.
This board is turning worse than Jersey housewives. Before the year started it was 0-12, 1-11, 2-10, now a young man wants time to decide his future because he doesn’t know who his boss will be while making millions for the university for free, ok education, and needs time to reflect on his future. Trader, quitter, etc.. let’s all calm down. So let’s say he played. Do we beat Maryland? What would we win anyway?
