Funny now that we know what we know about the shoe company money and who they were involved with. The hindsight on that list of players is pretty telling as about 75 percent of that list are guys we are all fairly certain were bought now

I don't think being pre-season #1 had anything to do with it. Look at Auburn and Texas Tech. I couldn't care less if we were pre-season #1 or pre-season #20.

that was the most elite class of all time.......... 1, 2, 3 and another top 10 player as their PG. 2 of which were transcendent players.... like having 2 anthony Davis'. ROTFLMAO

There's no way we get both Hampton & Juzang. Give me a shooter like Juzang & a big man like Blackshear & we're the pre season favorite to win the national championship. Potentially our best team since our 2014-15 team.

And it also says "This team, on paper, looks to be the best". In a game decided by NCAA, shoe companies, and coach K yelling at officials when they dare call a foul on his calls... you have to take any advantage possible. Give me that #1 preseason ranking!

yea on paper just doesn't matter to me. I like reality too much. yea i'll take #1 if we truly are #1 but that rarely works out and certainly didn't work out this season when we were no where near #1 beginning the season.

right i get and understand what you're saying i do. and it all looks good. yea a #1 seed is what matters. My thing is, if you are the best then rankings mean nothing. if you're ranked pre-season #5 or #10 yet you win the games against opponents that UK plays then you are gonna be a #1 seed there's no doubt about it.
